The $5.89 Beach Club is a Giant Club Sandwich that contains twice the meat and cheese that their regular 8" subs do. It contains fresh baked turkey breast, provolone cheese, an avocado spread, sliced cucumber, alfalfa sprouts, lettuce, tomato, and mayo.
I am obsessed with this sandwich right now. I really like the turkey that Jimmy John's uses for this sandwich. They add thick slices on the sandwich that taste like real, natural turkey meat.
It doesn't taste like it has a ton of additives, chemicals, or different flavors added to it, it just tastes the way turkey breast should. I used to really enjoy Subway's turkey subs a few years ago, but then they changed the natural tasting turkey they used to this rubbery artificial version they have now, now so I stopped eating them.
The turkey has a mild taste so the provolone cheese, and the avocado spread which has an onion flavor, and the mayo all give the sandwich a tanginess. The cucumbers, crisp lettuce, and alfalfa sprouts all give the sandwich juiciness and a fresh bright burst of green flavor that is delicious. And the ripe tomatoes balance the Beach Club out with a hearty but sweet flavor.
I've had the Beach Club on Jimmy John's French bread and on their 7-grain bread and I enjoy it on both. The French bread is good but it's so mild you can really taste each flavorful part of the sandwich. The 7-Grain bread is more filling than the French, but it has a lot of flavor so it can overpower some of the milder flavors, in the Beach Club, but they all still work well together. .
I love this sandwich and whenever I eat it I always feel so healthy because of those sprouts and cucumbers, but one sandwich on French bread has 796 calories, 37g of fat, almost 10g of saturated fat, 72mg of cholesterol, 1873mg of sodium, 77g of carbs, 2g of fiber, and 37g of protein, so it's not the healthiest choice. Even if you put it on 7-grain bread you get 7g of fiber but 50 more calories and more fat and sodium.
I will still buy it however because I love it, it's so delicious and I still think it's healthier than other fast food meals I'd normally eat, so I would recommend anyone who's looking for a fresh and tangy tasting sandwich to try it as well. You can always eat half, or ask them to leave the mayo and cheese off (even though they are so good). But try this sandwich you'll be glad you did. 5 out of 5 stars.
