JK's Best Bets for Week 3 of the 2011 NFL Season

John Krutz

Entering week 3 of the NFL 2011 season we are starting to get a good idea of what teams are and what teams aren't. So here are my best bets for week 3 against the spread. Spread is listed for visiting team and lines may change.

Detroit -3.5 @ Minnesota

Detroit is not only decent, they are looking like the real thing. You name it and they have it, a good QB, a good running back, a star receiver, and an unreal defense. In this matchup you may as well say Minnesota only has a running game. McNabb has looked bad and Detroit will be sure to pressure him. I really like Detroit big in this game, take Detroit minus the points.

Jacksonville +3.5 @ Carolina

Cam Newton and Carolina have looked surprisingly well this year. People are starting to pay attention to Carolina and especially after they gave the defending Super Bowl champions Green Bay all they could handle. Jacksonville on the other hand has looked incredibly bad. They couldn't get out of their own way on offense last week against the Jets and it doesn't look like it is going to get better. I like Carolina to win big in this game, take Carolina minus the points.

These are my two best bets for week 3 of the 2011 NFL season, be sure to check back next week.
