JK's NFL Week 5 2009 NFL Picks

Well last week was an off week for me and I apologize, but I will try and make it up to you this week. So here are my week 5 picks for the 2009 NFL season against the spread as of 10/6/09.

Minnesota -10.5 at St. Louis
Even though Minnesota is coming off a short week I think they will have no problems against a very poor St. Louis team, take Minnesota minus the points.

Dallas -8.5 at Kansas City
Dallas has been tough to figure out and Kansas City stinks again. I think Dallas straightens things out and beats KC, take Dallas minus the points.

Washington +3.5 at Carolina
Washington may have won last week but barely and I don't think that will be the case this week, take Carolina minus the points.

Tampa Bay +13.5 at Philadelphia
Man this is a huge spread, but Philly's offense has been rolling so I think they can cover, take Philadelphia minus the points.

Oakland -15.5 at NY Giants
Now there is a chance Eli Manning won't play, but I think there is a better chance that Oakland will get shutout, take the Giants minus all those points.

Cleveland +6 at Buffalo
Cleveland may be figuring things out and they may not win, but I think they will at least cover, take Cleveland plus the points.

Cincinnati +8.5 at Baltimore
This is a tough spread, I like Baltimore and Cincinnati did just barely beat Cleveland, so I'll say take Baltimore minus the points.

Atlanta +2.5 at San Francisco
The Niner's have looked good and it's time to give them some credit. The spread is less then a field goal, so take the Niner's at home minus the points.

Pittsburgh -10.5 at Detroit
Detroit may be playing their back up QB, so take Pittsburgh minus the points.

New England -3 at Denver
Denver may be undefeated, but I think they will suffer a loss here, take New England minus the points.

Houston +5.5 at Arizona
I think Houston will be able to pressure Warner and cause him to make some mistakes, take Houston plus the points.

Jacksonville -3 at Seattle
No matter whom Jacksonville starts at QB I think they will be Seattle, take Jacksonville minus the points.

Indianapolis -4 at Tennessee
I think this is the lock of the week, Manning and the Colts have been awesome so far and Tennessee hasn't won yet, take Indianapolis minus the points.

NY Jets -1.5 at Miami
I think the Jets rebound nicely after last week and easily take care of Miami, take the Jets minus the points.
