Joanna Krupa Gets Naked Because the Pope Said She Could

Playboy's Sexiest Swimsuit Model Finds Being Naked "Natural"

Joanna Krupa, the Polish supermodel that Playboy has labeled the "Sexiest Swimsuit Model In The World." Sports Illustrated might beg to differ, and there is definitely plenty of room for argument, but what is not up for argument is Joanna Krupa's guidance. She told Fox News in an exclusive interview that she took her direction for getting naked from the Pope himself.

She told Fox News, "I think worrying about going topless in a photo shoot or film is really ridiculous. And the fact is Pope John Paul said, since we were born naked, it is art, and it's just showing a beautiful body that God created."

So Joanna Krupa gets her mandate to be naked from the first Polish Pope and one of god's right-hand men. Seems fitting. And who are we to argue with a Pope...

Krupa said that she grew up in Europe (and was raised in part in Chicago since she was 5), where sex and nudity are dealt with in a more "casual, natural" fashion than in America, "Interestingly enough, these days, you see nudity and toplessness in almost every critically acclaimed movie, and whenever I pick up a French Vogue, I see bare breasts, and French Vogue still sets the standards."

But does getting naked this a cause for loose morals? Joanna Krupa does not think so. She maintains that she has never had to compromise her morals to make it in the modeling business. "I can tell you that I am very proud that everything I have achieved to date has happened due to the hard work of my team and myself. I was never tempted to give in because I have always been in committed relationships, and take the word 'committed' very seriously."

The 29-year-old swimsuit model, when she isn't modeling swimsuits or getting naked for the cameras in some exotic location somewhere in the world, can usually be found at home with her "sweetheart" and her dogs.

Joanna Krupa is a strong activist for animal rights. "I dedicate as much time as I can to fight for animal rights, and against horrific realities like fur factories and puppy mills."

The Pope would no doubt approve of her work in that area as well. At least, St. Francis would...

Krupa isn't the only beautiful body getting naked and fighting for animal rights. Olympian Amanda Beard caused a stir at the Beijing Summer Olympics in China last year with her naked poster for PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals). AFP reported that actress and model Aya Sugimoto posed naked for PETA in Tokyo in September in one of Japan's first protests for animal rights. Other models and actresses that have become activists for animal rights include Pam Anderson, Playboy's Holly Madison, Christina Applegate, Anna Nicole Smith, Roselyn Sanchez, Eva Mendes, and Khloe Kardashian.
