Job Agencies for Employers and Employees
The Benefits of Using a Job Agency for Temporary or Permanent Employment
A number of jobs available at job agencies are only temporary, while other jobs have the potential to become full-time permanent positions. Job agencies seek jobs for potential employees that meet their criteria for pay and other issues, and at the same time they seek employees for businesses seeking qualified pre-screened help.
Job Agency Benefits for Employers
Employers often seek the services of job agencies to save time and money. Employers who hire through job agencies, which are also considered temporary agencies, aren't obligated to provide benefits to employees hired through a temporary service. In addition, they are not required to pay unemployment compensation should they decide not to keep a particular employee. Employees are first hired on a temporary basis for these reasons. It's much easier to get rid of an employee that is temporary rather than one who was directly hired.
Employers can use the services of temporary employees for less cost than employees directly hired, and employers can gain a good perspective of how the employee will work out before hiring them on a full-time permanent basis. Even when considering the cost of a job agency, the employer still often saves money because they are paying less per hour to temporary employees compared to full-time permanent employees. Employers can often get the work done for much less, and temporary employees often prove to be better all-around workers than employees directly hired. They must answer to the job agency, and they want a good report from the employer.
In many cases job agencies charge employers a fee for finding and monitoring employees. Other job agencies charge employees a fee for locating a job. In all cases, job agencies provide a valuable service for both employers and employees. Job agencies, temporary and otherwise, link qualified people with the right employers, and everyone benefits when their needs are met.
Employers who use temporary job agencies also benefit when the job agency handles pay, discipline, and other aspects of employment. The job agency is the middleman that takes care of issues and concerns of both employer and employee, and many find this to be an extremely beneficial service.
Job Agency Benefits for Employees
Job agencies are invaluable services for those seeking employment. Job agencies save job seekers a lot of time, and they match clients to jobs they are best qualified for. Employees provide job agencies with the information they require in order to match them to the jobs they are seeking. A person can find the perfect job by using the services of a job agency.
Employees hired through a job agency have the backing of the job agency if the employer doesn't stick to the terms of employment. For instance, if a person is hired to do a particular job, the employer shouldn't expect the employee to do something other than the job they were hired to do. At this point, the employee can go to the job agency and let them know they are being asked to complete tasks they weren't hired to complete. The job agency can then contact the employer and get the job back on track. If the employee is unsatisfied with the employer who didn't stick to the terms of employment, he or she can ask to be removed from the job. This request for removal won't be held against the employee.
If a client accepts a job they don't like for whatever reason, they can express their concerns with the job agency, and the job agency will contact the employer on their behalf. If a solution can't be worked out, the job agency will find someone else to take over the job. Job agencies want their clients to be happy, and they want to match employees with jobs that meet the needs of all concerned.
Insurance
Health, dental, and life insurance is a must these days, and most job agencies offer health, dental, and life insurance for their clients seeking employment. The prices are generally quite affordable, and the insurance offered provides a plausible solution to those who thought they couldn't afford to buy their own insurance. On the downside, the insurance offered by job agencies is often very limited. Although helpful, the amount of coverage provided is quite low compared to standard insurance policies. Still, the insurance offered is better than nothing, and many people employed through job agencies subscribe to their insurance policies. These policies are often enough to help employees get by until they are hired on a full-time permanent basis and are eligible for company insurance.
Temporary or Permanent?
When seeking a job through a job agency, a potential employee must consider if they want temporary or permanent employment. Some people are looking for steady permanent work, while others want something only temporary. There are pros and cons to both temporary and full-time jobs, and the terms of service are up to each person and their individual needs.
Permanent employment of course provides steady pay, and health insurance benefits are often an issue as well. Starting out as a temporary employee is a good way to decide if a job is right, and it gives a prospective permanent employee the power to choose without penalties.
Some people like temporary employment because of the variety it affords. If a person is hired to fill a temporary position they don't particularly like, they can find relief knowing the job is only temporary. After a set number of days, weeks, or months, the job will be over. If the temporary employee is ultimately hired for a job they enjoy, there can be a chance for permanent employment. This gives temporary employees the power to locate and obtain the perfect job.
Job agencies absolutely love employers wanting temporary positions. This is because temporary positions are quite often hard to fill. Most people want full-time permanent work, but temporary jobs do have their benefits. Those in temporary positions often love the fact they're always doing something different. This leaves no room for boredom, and both employer and employee win.
