Job Interviewing Tips

James Kent
A job interview can be an uneasy process, but remember preparation is the key. The better you know yourself the better you will do. Even before you enter the interview it's important to relax and get into the right frame of mind. If you're anything like me the more relaxed you are the better you will express yourself. The next thing to do is make sure you know your information. Obviously you went along to the interview because you saw something of interest, so make sure you have your backup. Firstly anticipate questions so you will have answers loaded and ready. Most interviewers ask many of the same questions so anticipating them isn't so hard. Imagine you are filling in a profile of yourself. Write down what you like, what you read and your favorite movie. Write down anything about yourself and that is a good start. Also research the company memorize a few facts to throw at the interviewer.

Once you're in the interview be honest, relax and answer the questions. Also remember that there are no innocent questions. Every question is designed to find out a little about the person you are, so you want to come off as positive as possible. Always remember to look interested and involved about the company. Now I am sure you have heard this before, but always ask questions. Failure to do so makes out that you're not really interested. Remember there is also additional informational you will need to know such as clarification on job description and time frame for decision making process. Like I said before the better you know yourself the easier it will be to answer any question that comes your way. After the interview is over remember your not done yet. Remember to write a thank you email/letter at which point you can reaffirm anything you think is important. For instance you may like to write down your key skills or something important that you didn't mention. Anyway you can do to strengthen your chances of impressing the interviewer.

Additionally remember to speak clearly and also speak well avoid slang and anything else that may seem uneducated. Dress well and don't wear bright colors, you want to look conservative and professional. Also make sure your well groomed. Please also have mint before you enter fresh smelling breath will really help. Other than that just be ready for anything and answer the questions the best you can. Remember this is yourself your selling something you should know better than anything.
