Jobs You Would Love to Have

Erik Van Tongerloo
I was only a child when I wanted to become a book-keeper. The reason was in the beginning probably that I wanted to do the same job as my uncle. I was always interested in financial items and my uncle gave me a lot of introduction to the type of work he does. I always admired him and I believe this firmed up my view of what I saw as a career. I never changed my mind and it was also the job I eventually had.

Maybe if the risk was not so high to start an own business, I would prefer to start a shop where I can sell DVD's and CD's. Music was always a part of my life. I never played a music instrument but listening music was always a hobby to me. I have a similar interest in movies and often read many reviews of them. I never complained about my choice of a job as book-keeper but I still have dreams to have a job where I can sell music or movies. Probably this kind of work wouldn't be a good choice because many people download music and movies from the Internet and has no chance to survive in the future.

The job I now prefer to do is one you can do at home on a freelance basis. Maybe a combination of financial work and writer could be the excellent choice of job for me. It gives many benefits like an easier family life because you have the freedom to choose your working hours. A great advantage is that you are your own boss and you can do your work a lot faster than in a company. It is much easier to have full control over the work done and flexibility is always a strong motivational key for a balance between work and a happy family life.

Of course there are also some disadvantages like social contact and deadlines you have to reach and you don't receive any payment when you are sick or you take holiday but the advantages of working on freelance basis looks me much higher than the disadvantages.

The last years writing became a great hobby of me. It gives me inspiration to publish my opinions about certain items on some Internet sites. The topics I choose are not always the ones according my education or my interests. Reading information in different Internet sites gives me the inspiration to write about almost every item. Working on freelance basis can give me the possibility to earn money with my writing. It is hard to decide which the best job should be but I prefer a combination of financial work and writing work. Maybe these jobs are only dreams but certainly the ones I would love to have.
