According to RadarOnline, a 17 year old boy saw Jodie Foster in a parking garage May 29, sometime between 2:50pm and 3:00pm. He approached Foster, wanting to snap a picture of the actress.
What happened next is up for debate.
The 17 year old claims Foster attacked him. His father reports to RadarOnline that, "Jodie pushed and shoved him leaving scratches and bruises on his arm." They filed a report of battery and bodily force.
Foster, on the other hand, claims that the boy was obviously a professional paparazzi member. The representative for the actress told People, "He had a large camera bag and 1000mm telephoto lens. He tailed Jodie and followed her all the way from the movie theater to the valet."
The father of the 17 year old assured RadarOnline that his son was only a fan, and just wanted a photo. He said Foster called him a "slime ball" and her children were so embarrassed that one of her sons even apologized to him.
Foster's representative still calls the police report a "fabrication", and says the 17 year old's behavior was "inappropriate", and that he had been following Foster and her two sons closely.
Since the teen didn't file the report on the scene, there's no way to verify the truth of the complaint. Coming back to file it later made it a he-said/she-said complaint. The odds of anyone getting charged with this complaint are likely low, even with the alleged bodily harm that is visible.
In her representative's statements, there is no denial of a physical altercation between Jodie Foster and the boy. There isn't a confirmation, either, but one would think if nothing happened, it would be the first thing the rep would want to point out. Foster being the mother of two children (Christopher, 8 and Charles,11), this comes as a surprise. Even if the boy did have a "1000mm telephoto lens" and was following them, he is still a boy. Then again, the actress is fiercely protective of her sons, so perhaps she didn't get a good look at who she was defending them against before she started fighting.
It will be interesting to see if charges end up getting filed based solely on a statement and injuries presented after the altercation.

Interesting. I wouldn't have stopped to question the boys age if he had been following me and my children. Something sounds fishy about the "teens" story.
