Jodie Sweetin Memoir: A Continuous Drug Addiction Plagues Former "Full House" Star
Jodie Sweetin, Better Known as Stephanie Tanner, Has Battled Drug Addictions for Years
Jodie Sweetin has battled drug addiction, and even went as far as to lie about clean living while giving speeches to college students. She used the money for her speeches to pay for her $700 weekly cocaine and meth addiction.
The last time we saw Jodie Sweetin, she was bouncy Stephanie Tanner. If you can't remember which Tanner sister was Stephanie, she was the middle child who coined the phrase "how rude."
Jodie Sweetin played the middle Tanner daughter, a bouncy and mischievous know-it-all. Those who can't separate Hollywood from real life may be surprised that Jodie Sweetin battled this drug addiction.
Jodie Sweetin's drug addiction plagues more than just the former "Full House" star. Her January cocaine relapse could jeopardize her custody rights of her 9 month old daughter.
Sadly, Jodie Sweetin's drug addiction is all too familiar in Hollywood. Many actors have battled drugs. Dr. Drew's "Celebrity Rehab" which airs on VH1 is one of the many constant reminders of how prevalent drug abuse is in our society - especially among stars.
Perhaps Jodie Sweetin would make a great addition to "Celebrity Rehab". She's got a lot to gain by cleaning up her act. Her estranged husband Cody Herpin wanted full custody of their daughter if Jodie Sweetin wasn't cleaned up.
Jodie Sweetin's memoir unSweetined is a tell-all book about the life, trials, and tribulations of Jodie Sweetin. According to Fox 411, the reason Jodie Sweetin gave for getting involved in drug addiction was to prove she wasn't that sweet, innocent girl from "Full House."
Jodie's substance abuse started even while she was playing the role of Stephanie Tanner. In 1994, she downed so much wine at Candace Cameron's wedding that she passed out in the bathroom. "Full House" ended in 1995.
Drugs and substance abuse make you do things you regret. Alcoholism turned into a cocaine, pot, and crystal meth addiction. Jodie Sweetin even admits to driving drunk with her infant daughter in her car.
