Joe Jonas Dances to Single Ladies

The Jonas Brothers may be best known as being a Disney pop brothers band. And Joe Jonas is best known for the girls he has dated, which include Taylor Swift and Camilla Bell. As of June 3, 2009 though, Joe Jonas is going to become more popular for his take on Beyonce's "Single Ladies" video.

The Jonas Brothers have a new album titled "Lines, Vines, and Trying Times" that is set to come out on June 16, 2009. A four week countdown started before the album's release date where the Jonas Brothers are doing something special for the fans in anticipation of, and as a form of a countdown to, the release of the new album, which is the fourth Jonas Brothers album.

Week two of the countdown to "Lines, Vines, and Trying Times" saw the release of "Joe Jonas Dances to Single Ladies" on the Jonas Brothers Official YouTube channel. It appears that the Jonas Brothers fans submitted ideas and requests for things that they wanted the Jonas Brothers to do as part of the countdown to the new album. The information accompanying the video states that it is "the long-awaited and long-requested video of Joe Jonas dancing to Single Ladies!" And dance he does, sort of.

Taking a cue from the Saturday Night Live skit that featured Andy Samberg and Justin Timberlake, Joe Jonas does his own parody video of "Single Ladies" and he is nothing if not Sasha Fierce in it. The video lasts over four minutes and features the heartthrob Jonas Brother in a full black leotard and black high heals dancing his little heart out and lip-synching badly along with Beyonce.

Fan on sites like Perez Hilton and Yahoo are wondering if Joe is purposely dancing badly and lip-synching obviously out of key or if he is just a bad dancer and equally as bad a lip-synching. Regardless of whether Joe is truly a bad dancer or playing a bad dancer on YouTube, one thing is for certain - he is a trooper! He made it through the entire "Single Ladies" song without stopping while wearing high heels and dancing around wildly. It says a lot about Joe and the other Jonas Brothers to be able to do something that will so obviously invoke ridicule by some. In fact, there are comments on sites such as People Magazine by comments saying things along the line that they have never been Jonas Brothers fans but this video gave them a new respect for the brothers.
