John & Kate, Spare the 8;

I am really finding it hard to imagine that these divorcing couples could come up with something that will truly make sense and satsify the best interest of their children.

Early last week, John made all his efforts to preempt shooting of the new Kate Plus 8; as it targeted to lessen his appearances and power over the show.

TLC shouldn't have belittled John's efforts. Though it may sound desperate, I believe it's really something serious and highly sensitive. The network can't just shrug their shoulders over this matter, especially if John's legal team would exhaust all legal remedies.

On most surveys, Kate seemed to have win the crowd. Of course she would! It is very much expected, simply because she has the 8 kids. But, as to the question of with the 8 staying with their mom would serve their best interest ? I don't think so.

When they announced their separation April of this year 2009, Mrs. Gosselin never seem to show any remorse on what happened to their marriage. Obviously she have enjoyed the limelight alot.

John on the other hand seemed to have freed himself from a very suffocating prison. He was reported and admitted to have dated women, traveled and shopped here and there; and now that he's losing the reality TV show (that made him a celebrity) over his wife, he just snapped and he's sorry?

Although, he apologized already, doesn't mean his cleared already! No, no, no, no!

He left them; have messed around. He should have known the consequences of his action. Not to mention that his sincerity is highly questionable, as his motives are so clear.

Well, to gist these all, with what both John and kate doing; there is no assurance that their children would be safe from exploitation and in the hands of their own parents.

Divorce most of the time could be very nasty; exhausting, stressing and painful not just of course to the couples but, also for the children.

Both couples know that it's their 8 kids that gave magic to the show. It's the 8 that
tickled the viewers. And, it's the 8 who have won the hurts of many. So, with these, guaranteed, the tug-of-war with their children in between, continues.

It's a pity and it's a shame!

Meanwhile, according to lawyer, Gloria Allred, "every state does regulate to protect the health, the safety and welfare of little child performers [...] And these little ones are only eight years old and five years old, they can't protect themselves, so the state has to be sure that they are safe in their workplace," the lady counsel said.

What is sad is that there are no clear laws in the State of Pennsylvania (where the Gosselins reside) that can inhibit both John and Kate exploit their kids and safeguard them from emotional distress.

Pennsylvania law permits kids who are at least seven years old to work in the entertainment industry, as long as certain guidelines are followed and a permit is obtained.

But, how can we be sure that all throughout those guidelines would be observed?

Though TLC denounced that there is truth to reports that the Gosselin kids have been hurt by the series; as they released a statement saying that their network have "fully complied with all applicable laws and regulations" to produce the show and keep it running. For me, it's all but press releases! I can't buy that!

Maybe now, we can't see yet manifestations that the 8 kids are affected and distressed, especially if it's emotional and psychological, whose effects could be invisible most of the time. Poor thing!
