This week, a tailspin from hell
Never thought I'd end up here
One more time, with rising fear.
Battle-worn, so hard to win
Can I find some help again?
Why must I endure this pain
Scared by thunder, drenched with rain.
Send Your Holy Spirit, Lord!
As You promised in Your word.
Hold on, now! A thought occurs
When you're sore and scarred by spurs.
God's Son Jesus did endure
Worse than this, now I am sure
We who bless his holy name
Will be tortured, put to shame.
Don't despair, He's overcome
This world that is not our home.
Now I'm glad in suffering
Knowing what my grief will bring.
Peace with Jesus, home to rest
Come on, world, I'll take your test!
