John Bootie - an American Trucker Pulling the Heavy Loads for America

With the two major political parties becoming a mirror image of each other with regard to national security and defense, American truckers are stepping up to the plate with educated, informed and capable candidates. Unlike career Washington politicians who are out of touch with reality, theirs is a profession that carries them across the country. They are in the real world, understanding hard work and what it takes to build and support our great nation. They offer Americans fresh choices that reflect our traditional values and beliefs.

American trucker, John Bootie, of Pennsylvania, holds a strong belief that if you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem. Like Republican candidate for US Senate from Illinois, American trucker Mike Psak, Bootie threw his hat into the political arena - as an independent candidate for President of the United States.

"Politicians don't connect with us," Bootie told American Truckers at War, "voters are tired of being taken for granted." With the major political parties making promises while pandering for special interest votes, Bootie is an independent with no political promises to fulfill. A conservative Christian and father of two, Bootie has been on the road since 1980. His understanding of the trucking industry is prominent in his platform.

Under a John Bootie presidency, there would be no Mexican Truck Pilot Program. "The first truck they sent was a brand new rig," states Bootie, not the typical Mexican truck. "The Mexican truckers make 1/3 what American truckers do." If this program goes forward, it is a good bet that the wages of the American trucker will become stagnant. According to Bootie's website:

Mexican trucks would not be allowed in to the USA past the buffer zone at the border unless 3 things are met. First: the trucks and drivers are certified to be legal and non-dangerous. Second: the companies pay their drivers a wage equal to the American drivers (not 1/3 of the pay we get). Third: there would need to be a proven and genuine need for the use of outside trucks and drivers. We still do not have a zero unemployment rating.

Additionally, Bootie is committed to insuring trucks have safe, secure parking, a major safety concern that has escaped Washington. The increasing number of trucks on the road has increased the need for parking. With more cities passing anti-idling laws, Bootie proposes that trucks be allowed to idle whenever the temperatures are below 32 degrees F, without the risk and threat of getting a ticket if they have no APU.

Bootie's stance on illegal immigration is as strong as it is for the trucking industry. "No more games. We must close the border." Bootie's platform states "no legal or illegal entry until the day, WE control the rate and legality of the people coming in to the USA."

With the nation at war, America needs a president who will fight the War on Terror to win, with no timetables. "We need to stay and fight until we finish the job," states Bootie. Bootie pledges to rid the military of the partisan politics that has tied the hands of our military and to "give General Petraeus a full and unfettered go ahead to fight terror anyway needed to WIN. We shouldn't fight the war in a courtroom."

The Bootie campaign has received much attention on the internet, although the "mainstream media" refuses to take a third party candidate seriously. With Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity asking where the true conservative candidates are, they need look no further than John Bootie. With deep rooted conservative values and a commitment to returning America to her rich heritage before the infiltration of political correctness and socialistic programs, he stands for the working American, the traditional family and the American trucker.
