John Cena Injured at House Show

Spy Radio
It is being reported that John Cena suffered a leg injury at a Raw house show. It has not been reported how serious the injury is. If Cena is hurt and does need to take time off I would be disappointed because Cena just entered a new feud with CM Punk. Punk also happens to be the new leader of Nexus. It would have been interesting to see how this storyline played out and what role Wade Barrett had in all of this. It raises a lot of questions like "Was Barrett just a puppet?" or "Did the members of Nexus actually abandon Barrett?". If Cena is seriously injured, the WWE Universe will never know the answer to those questions.

If Cena is injured and the storyline is unable to continue, it would only make sense to have Barrett feud with CM Punk. Punk and Nexus can claim that they did something Barrett was unable to do by injuring Cena. Therefore, because Barrett was unable to get the job done he will be kicked out of Nexus. Just as he kicked out former members who were incapable of doing what was asked of them. If this storyline does play out, it would not be a bad idea to see the members of Nexus split up. For example, Michael Mcgillicutty and Husky Harris staying loyal with Barrett. While David Otunga, Heath Slater, and Justin Gabriel follow Punk.

Another possible scenario would be for Punk to leave Nexus. Now that Punk has accomplished his goal of eliminating Cena, he no longer needs Nexus. Nexus could go back to Barrett and beg him to be their leader again. Barrett will refuse because Nexus replaced him with CM Punk. Leaving Punk and Barrett on their own, and Nexus without a leader.

Cena seems to be OK. He will probably take off Monday Night Raw this week and sell the injuries that Nexus gave him last week, but he will be back in a week or two.

I checked out the link to your story and the steel cage match was supposed to be here in Baltimore tonight, not in PA. They've been running ads for a couple of weeks for this steel cage match in Baltimore between Cena, Barrett, Randy Orton, and The Miz for the WWE Championship. Something's up.
