John Edwards: I Did Not Have Sex with that Woman!

Will wonders never cease? Former Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards has finally been forced to admit that he fathered his two-year-old daughter Frances Quinn with his (former?) mistress Rielle Hunter. The National Enquirer originally reported the story of the Edwards-Hunter affair which John Edwards staunchly denied. Friends of Hunter told the media a different story, including Pigeon O'Brien who told the CBS Early Show that the John Edwards-Rielle Hunter affair began before she was hired by Edwards in 2006.

John Edwards: I Did Not Father a Child with that Woman!

Eventually John Edwards admitted the affair, but he continued to firmly denied he was the father of Hunter's baby. An Edwards' aide, Andrew Young at one point came forward to take the fall for the 56-year-old Edwards saying he was the father of Hunter's child, using DNA obtained from the baby's diaper to fake the claim. However, according to ABC News, Young had recanted in an interview about to air on ABC's 20/20 which forced Edwards to admit that he was actually the child's father. In his statement, John Edwards says he has been taking care of the child financially and hopes his daughter can forgive him someday. He should have amended that apology to include his wife Elizabeth Edwards.

John Edwards: I Am the Father

"I am Quinn's father. I will do everything in my power to provide her with the love and support she deserves. It was wrong for me ever to deny she was my daughter and hopefully one day, when she understands, she will forgive me. To all those I have disappointed and hurt these words will never be enough, but I am truly sorry."

Rielle Hunter to John Edwards: You're So Hot!

According to the story Edwards told his wife Elizabeth Edwards which she later told Oprah Winfrey, the affair was instigated by Hunter when she approached Edwards at a hotel where he was staying and said, "You're so hot."

John Edwards: Sex Addict?

Although the affair with Rielle Hunter is said to be over, John and Elizabeth Edwards are reported to be living apart. Maybe John Edwards needs to join Tiger Woods in Sex Rehab?

National Enquirer Chasing a Pulitzer for John Edwards Story?

The Washington Post reports the editor of the National Enquirer plans to enter his paper's work on the John Edwards scandal for a Pulitzer Prize.

Maybe all our elected officials need to go through an intense mental and emotional testing before they get on the last ballot??

It's amazing to me how many people decried the National Enquirer for so long after reporting this...yet it was true. It seems that any press publication not a part of Operation Mockingbird will always have to put up with that. Great job on this.
