John Edwards Baby - Edwards Admits to Love Child

John Edwards had a baby outside of his marriage with Elizabeth Edwards a breast cancer survivor. Edwards and his wife are reportedly separated after this news. Previously it was denied that there was a John Edwards baby, he denied it himself. Now he is reversing his lie about having a child out of wedlock with Rielle Hunter. A statement was made to NBC by John Edwards, "I am Quinn's father. ...It was wrong for me ever to deny she was my daughter and hopefully one day, when she understands, she will forgive me." Another politicians lie just to gain better stature on the hill. Why come clean now? Does John Edwards think he can leave his wife and continue this relationship with his presidential campaign's camera person Rielle Hunter? After John Edwards admitted to the affair with Rielle Hunter in 2008, why would he deny a love child?

Why would John Edwards deny a baby? He was trying to become the president of the United States when he ran for the democrats in 2008. Although John Edwards ran for president he never even got close to winning the democratic nomination. John and his advisors if they knew about the affair knew that it had to be kept secret because if people found out that John Edwards had an affair with Rielle Hunter and a love child with her he would never be president.

Now that John Edwards has admitted to this baby from his affair, why is he claiming her now? The reason that Edwards is claiming the affair baby is because the man who claimed her before is set to be interviewed by ABC. Andrew Young was one of John Edwards presidential campaign aids that originally claimed baby Frances Quinn Hunter. John Edwards is trying to do some damage control with the whole baby and Rielle Hunter affair scandal. He knew he was going to be ousted by this aide and the ABC interview. So John Edwards is coming out now with this information on his own terms to control the situation.

John Edwards a two time presidential candidate is not the man many thought he was. More than likely Edwards and his party are not dumb enough to let him run for president again. Maybe another book is in John Edwards future, a tell all. Perhaps John Edwards will come out with a behind the scenes book about the 2008 presidential campaign like the Game Change Book. What will be interesting to see is if John Edwards has anything to do with his daughter or will he try to pay more hush money to Rielle Hunter for the affair baby?
