John Goodman Has Had a Huge Weight Loss and is Looking Fantastic

John Goodman is an Inspiration

I was just doing my usual internet surfing when I came across an article in the LA Times website. It was on a celebrity blog posting about John Goodman's weight loss.

Mr. Goodman has lost an incredible 100 pounds. I think that deserves a little applause. Of course he can afford to hire health coaches, and he certainly doesn't have to do his own cooking. I wish I could afford to let someone take care of me that way. I could probably lose a lot of weight. He has cut sugar and drinking out of his life, and that's not something a health coach can do for you.

Still he has committed to working out six days a week and to eat right. I don't know what he weighed before his weight loss but here's a link to the article that I read and you can see some pictures of him before his weight loss and after. John Goodman on losing 100 pounds: exercise good, alcohol bad, new clothes already too big.

I have struggled with my weight all my life. Several months ago I made a commitment to exercise. I chose a gym, used a personal trainer for a couple of months, and now have been exercising for about four months. I'm starting this week to go from working out three times a week at the gym to four times. I don't have as much to lose as Mr. Goodman, but I know how bad he probably felt when he began his weight loss journey.

When you get as overweight as John Goodman you certainly can't move the way you want, and you are shortening your life span considerably. You also become much more susceptible to diseases like heart disease and diabetes. So it becomes not just something you want to do, but something you have to do if you want to stay healthy into your senior years.

John Goodman is an inspiration to me. It's not an easy task to get into shape. I only hope I can do half as well as he has done in getting healthier.
