Being a Libra, he had the ability to be a master at relationships, forming strong bonds within his group and love connections. But his rising sign in the warrior realm of Aries spearheads many of his motivations, as part of the function of the rising sign, or ascendant.
Fiery Aries makes a mark and goes directly to the target.
One of the most interesting combinations comes into view through the placement of his Aquarian Moon, which is extremely compatible with the humanitarian, Libran energy of his Sun sign. Aquarius is always associated with New Age inclinations.
Yet an inherent conflict comes between the Libran partnering aspect, and the stand-alone Aquarian influence that would lend to being reclusive.
Aquarius delves into universal themes of love and higher consciousness.
Already, it's obvious why he was so attracted to Yoko Ono, who became his soul mate. The twosome dwelled spiritually on the same Aquarian plane.
This mindset is confirmed in songs like 'Give Peace a Chance" (regarding the Viet Nam war) and "Imagine."
John and Yoko bonded instantly and so intensely that one of the Beatles main rules was violated for the first time within the remarkably successful combination of musicians. John brought Yoko to the practice sessions, causing a ripple of negative reactions from other band members.
Lennon once described himself as a troublemaker.
Many Libras have a love of argument; it's part of the balance, like the scales of law and judgment. Acknowledging the warrior spirit of Aries, he views himself this way along with self-described non-conformist tendencies.
However the search for the perfect mate stayed true to form, as most Libras are innately partners.
Lennon "turned his attention inward with the help of LSD, in the hope that this drastic form of introspection might wean him from his dependence on the persona of Beatle John", and spent "long hours in diffuse contemplation, wandering the corridors of his mind."
The Libran element of partnering led him to the song-writing duo that he formed with Paul McCartney. The fiery non-conformist tendencies were tempered by Paul's consideration of diplomacy, and how others react.
John's astrology chart contains other unusual combinations.
In the forefront we see the entire realm of humanitarian, compassionate idealism, combined with a considerable amount of materialistic Earth signs. Whether or not he consciously focused on the money aspect, he was destined to have a lot of it.
Recognized as a great in both, the Songwriter's Hall of Fame and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Lennon's words reached a universal audience. John Lennon's astrology chart is inimitable, and this very difference explains his legacy that helped to change the world.

Post a CommentWhat an interesting analysis. Great work, Carol. :-)
Interesting. Do not know that I believe in Astrology anymore. I think of Libra as balanced, those scales of justice and have much respect for those born under the sign. Maybe due to theirs being compatible with my own. I was not much of a Beatles fan and not until later years I came to appreciate them and John in particular.
good write up!
I was interested in reading this, cheers :)
He was talented. I'm not sure I would like him a person, however.
I almost posted a Lennon chart myself today. Yes, his is VERY revealing!
