John Mayer Comes Down with a Sickness and Cancels Shows

32 year old pop/rock singer John Mayer has cancelled 30 scheduled shows in Europe due to an unexpected illness that pertained to his intestines.Mayer was embarking upon a world tour following the 2009 release of his album "Battle Studies" when he came down with this illness.

Mayer has been the subject of conversation these last few months because of the controversial remarks he made in a Play Boy interview back in February 2010. This interview caused his back up singer to cry , raised the eyebrows of the African American community and thrust Jessica Simpson back into the spotlight. The reaction to his candid interview caused John to avoid trying to be clever and instead focus on his guitar playing. John has been eerily silent even frequenting his twitter account less since that controversial interview in February.

Many concert goers began expressing their well wishes for John as well as their disappointment on twitter that they would miss out on his scheduled performances in Europe. There has been no word on how, when, or if John will compensate ticket payers for these missed tour dates. Per order of the doctor, John is now on bed rest and the length of his rest is unknown but full recovery is expected.
