John Mayer Playboy Interview: Black Women, Jessica Simpson, and "Sexual Napalm" Remarks Are Better Left Unsaid

The John Mayer Playboy interview in the March issue has the musician saying some very colorful things about black women and Jessica Simpson, referring to copulating with her as "sexual napalm", according to US Magazine. In the John Mayer Playboy interview, he said he doesn't date black women because his private part is "sort of like a white supremacist" and "David Duke". Regarding Jessica Simpson, the John Mayer Playboy interview discussed bellywarming with her, where he referred to her as "sexual napalm", equating his bed romps with her as "like crack cocaine to me", according to the same US Magazine. Why do some people get so blatant when being interviewed by this girlie magazine? If this singer ever had aspirations for singing with Up with People or the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, that's pretty much up in smoke now.

John Mayer Playboy Interview: His Remarks About Black Women, Jessica Simpson, and "Sexual Napalm" Should Stay in the High School Locker Room of His Mind

When I was in high school, some kid paid this other student $5 to say he wanted a Playboy magazine for Christmas for an interview on the daily school news program. What that kid didn't say was that he wanted to appear in a Playboy interview like John Mayer did. Why? Maybe it's because when you appear in that magazine, you have a tendency to say things that you normally might not say somewhere else. The first words I think of when I free associate the term Playboy interview are "controversial" and "blatant". Just appearing in Playboy means that people expect you to unleash colorful comments, but how far do you go, and do you say anything just to shock people, when it could come back to bite you in the butt?

Do you do what the musician did in making racist references about your "2nd brain" when talking about dating black women, especially when, in essence, you are trying to actually say you find black women attractive, for in the John Mayer Playboy interview, he talked about how he found and Karyn Parsons (Hilary from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air) and Holly Robinson Peete to be attractive? Do you refer to getting some bellywarming from Jessica Simpson as that of being on addicted to drugs or "sexual napalm"? He certainly has taken what Colonel Kilgore said about loving the smell of napalm in the morning in the epic film Apocalypse Now to a whole new level.

The musician has less to worry about for such remarks because he's not a government official or politician, but one has to wonder where the restraint of this man lies, if he has any. Celebrities need to be careful how much they spew out because it can come back to haunt them, especially stuff that's better kept in the locker room or even better yet the confines of one's mind.
