John McCain

To Be or Not to Be?

PenPress
I don't care about John McCain
I'm still not that insane,
To vote for a guy who is ready to retire
But the presidency is his desire.

McCain is in it for himself,
He is like the very known elf,
They all say they want to serve us,
In that we no longer have consensus.
It is themselves that they care about,
Isn't it time to make room for the sprout?
Obama is just that for us,
This is what is now obvious.
I know McCain is a US veteran
Who will do as much as he can,
To justify his mindset
And will get us more in debt.
He is a maniac like Bush
Budget for only war he'll push.
He fought the war decades ago,
Isn't it time he lets go
Of the military sentiment
And make practical commitment?
There are so many that come and go,
We have to choose one who will show
That the country matters the most,
Will bring back the allies that we lost.
War we will no longer sponsor,
The candidates' behavior we will censor.

I don't care about John McCain
I'm still not that insane,
To vote for a guy who is ready to retire
But the presidency is his desire.

The poem was an interesting, fun, read and I like your poems very much. I've got to be a contrarian though--I like McCain. The reason the one side of his arm don't work so well is because his arm and shoulder broke when he hit the canopy while ejecting from his plane when he got shot down. His captors put him in a body cast without setting the break. I guess some people could make fun of that, not me. The Chinese have a saying: "May you be so lucky as to live in interesting times." I guess we're all very lucky now--we live in interesting and dangerous times. It's not amateur hour.

This is an absolutely wonderful poem, with just the right spin of humor to it ....but you are so right, this country is in enough trouble already,
if McCain gets into office the future for our children will be grim.....~ PEACE ~

Ha! Anyone ever notice that he's not flexible in his arms? He talks like he's got plastic elbows...like a Ken doll. He's an old, ready to retire, neo conservative ken doll in a suit. Fun to watch, but not to put in office.
