Introduction for John McCain
We all know John McCain for losing the presidential election to current President Obama and his famous "maverick" stance on politics, but John McCain actually has a much deeper involvement with the United States. Upon graduation from the U.S. Naval Academy, he served as a naval aviator in the Vietnam war. During his time in the Navy, he was captured by the North Vietnamese, suffered imprisonment and was tortured by them for numerous years.
After his time with the Navy expired, John McCain then ran for the House of Representatives, where he served two terms. Later, John McCain ran for the Senate, where he currently holds a position.
Where does John McCain Stand?
John McCain doesn't fully support the health care reform because he feels it causes inefficiencies and is backed by special interests. He does however, feel the health care industry does need to be enforced and restricted without a strong involvement from the government.
This is one area I don't agree with John McCain on. We need health care reform, maybe not in the manner President Obama has influenced, but none the less, we still need it. I know all to well the struggles low income families face when it comes to trying to find affordable health coverage. You shouldn't have to choose between going to the doctor or keeping your electricity turned on.
Regarding education, John McCain believes Arizona's public schools need assistance for improving. He hopes to see the federal governments role in education reduced. And, he hopes to see schools become more market friendly.
All I care about regarding schools, is no more budget cuts can be made. With my own children attending Arizona's schools, I'm constantly seeing teachers get laid off and the quality of education my children receive decrease.
Why am I Sold on John McCain?
While I don't agree with a large portion of John McCain's plans and I never would have voted for him as president, I think he's the best candidate for the 2010 Arizona U.S. Senate primary race. The main area that has sold me to vote for McCain is his stance on the Arizona border battle. McCain is looking to strengthen the security at the border, limiting illegal immigrants and drugs coming into the country. This is one thing Arizona truly needs. Although not all crime's committed by illegal immigrants, a large portion of it is. It's a safety issue as well as an economic issue. Plus, there's a right and wrong way to come into the country .
Because Arizona's economy's in such a dire state at the moment, I also think John McCain would know better than anyone how to fix it. Sure a fresh perspective may be useful, but now isn't the time to take chances.

Post a CommentAnd again...NOW IS NOT THE TIME TO CHANCE IT. For you doubters, read it again. These are NOT the times to take a gamble on your senator. JD was a gamble before and we all LOST. If we chose to gamble again and lost, not only would AZ lose, but this entire Nation lost. JD's immoral, unethical behavior was enough for us to lose big time back then, and is enough for us to lose today. JD was just forced to resign from radio b/c he was unethically campaigning on air. Times have not changed this man, he is still the same blowhard he always was.
