John McCain Can't Walk and Chew Gum

I woke up around 5am and headed to the gym. On the way home from the gym I stopped and got some gasoline for my truck. While I was waiting for the gas to pump, I stepped inside of the gas station to make a purchase and when standing in line got on my cell phone and researched some directions on google maps. I went to work which required me to toggle between screens on my computer while answering a few phone calls. I even managed to go online and purchase some plane tickets and reserve a rental car for a trip that I am taking tomorrow. Once I got home, I spoke to my wife about the day that I had. Whew, I'm beat!! But you know what... I was able to do it all at once.

I was able to complete all of that and I even left out a few details. But apparently Senator McCain is not capable. He chose to suspend his campaign and wanted to "delay the debate" until the financial "bailout" situation is resolved. I sure hope he is playing politics because I don't know if I am ready to accept the fact that there could possibly be a person wanting the job of the highest office in the land, who can't figure out how to do his job and then talk at the same time. On top of that, the debate is late in the evening. Senator Obama felt the same way. He said that the president would have to be able to do and I quote, "more than one thing." I laughed when I heard him say that because of how elementary the logic is. I believe any other rational human being feels the same way.

Why can't this man figure out how to manage his campaign, participate in the hearings in Washington and then get his tail to Mississippi to talk about what he wants to do as president. It's insane! It's McCain, apparently.

At the time I write this there are about 40 days til the election and this is the perfect opportunity for us to hear about what these gentlemen say they are going to do, especially regarding economics.

I personally think that Senator McCain is afraid. He did admit some time ago that he is weak where the economy is concerned, and wouldn't you know it... a financial crisis rears it's ugly greedy head. John McCain panics. He sees a way out and then takes it. And on top of that, he would be able to get a photo opportunity out of it and buy some time to prepare Sarah Palin to learn how to speak for her debate. On a personal note I hope Joe Biden rips her a new one. I hope he upstages her so much that they will be calling him a sexist the next day, which they probably will anyway.

I wonder if I send Senator McCain an email to tell him it's a bad idea will he get it, I mean, he is aware of the internet, right. I would tell him that what the rest of us in the world do everyday is called 'multi-tasking.' It's the act of being able to do more than one thing at a time. Can John McCain walk and chew gum?
