Last week would have been the time to come out and show some leadership, but instead he was lurching one way then the other clueless to what was going on. However, since he was still leading in the polls now all of a sudden, as he watches Obama seeming and looking like a real leader with solutions he wants to call a time out.
Why now, it certainly has nothing to do with country first. What is he going back to Washington to do? He already admitted he does not know much about the economy, and further more he has shown us he knows even less then that.
In a time of a real crisis we do not need someone who every time they feel the topic in the election is turning back to the issues that matter to the Americans, they pull out a gimmick to change the subject, no, not this time. This time what we need is a forward thinking leader with an even steady hand. A President has to be able to do more then one thing at a time you cannot just call a time out when things are not going your way.
We as American deserve more from our leaders. We have had almost eight years of a so-called leader who put politics before country; we cannot survive four more years of the same. I started out a John McCain guy, I was happy to hear at the beginning of the campaign that he wanted to make it about the issue, but then right out of the gate he goes negative. He's reason, Obama would not agree to Towne Hall meetings, so sense he could not get what he wanted this is how he responds. It's says a lot about John McCain's temperament.
It is clear to any objective viewer that John McCain is clearly putting his want to be President well before the country. John McCain is no maverick, he's just another Republican scheme his way into the white house just like his predecessor George W. Bush did, and look, how great that turned out America.
