Celebrity Sex Scandals Heat Up as Summer Winds Down

John Travolta is bracing for what appears to be a major gay sex scandal involving his alleged activities at a southern California spa; Britney Spears is being sued for sexual harassment and Dennis Rodman broadcast the live audio from an orgy in the Hamptons live to party guests.

As a summer that was thought of as the summer of the celebrity sex tape winds down, celebrity sex scandals seem to be heating up.

John Travolta, despite being married to the sexy Kelly Preston, has been rumored for years to be homosexual. In 1990, gay porn star Paul Barresi told the National Enquirer that he and Travolta had carried on a long term affair. Barresi later recanted his story, but, later still, he claimed he regretted recanting it.

In an upcoming book entitled "You'll Never Spa in this Town Again", Robert Randolph, a former member of the Century Spa, details what he says are Travolta's homosexual activities.

He claims, and says he can back up his claims with polygraphs, that Travolta regularly participated in gay sex at the spa. Randolph even says that on one occasion Travolta brought his late son to the spa, along with his male nanny, as Travolta went about his business there.

Randolph, who it should be noted is angry at the spa after being physically beaten there in 2003, says Travolta was not the only celebrity there. Others, including John Cusack, Jeremy Piven, Pauly Shore and George Michael, were regular visitors to the spa and participated in promiscuous behavior.

Travolta is getting older and no longer really an "A-List" Hollywood star. While for years, Travolta may have feared gay revelations would hurt his acting career, today he has less to lose really. But old habits die hard and if in fact there is any truth to Randolph's allegations, it will be interesting to see how Travolta and his team react to it.

While Travolta is dealing with rumored gay dalliances in a spa, Britney Spears, who seems stuck in a perpetual crash and recover cycle, is confronted with a sexual harassment lawsuit brought by a former bodyguard. Fernando Flores, who worked for Spears from February of 2010 through early summer, filed a lawsuit that accused Spears of "repeated unwanted sexual advances" towards him. He also claims that in addition to exposing herself to him, Spears engaged In numerous sex acts in front of him."

Spears is denying the accusations, but just as rumors of homosexual activity have followed Travolta for years, reports of bizarre and erratic behavior have dogged Spears for years as well.

While his star no longer shines as brightly as Spears' and Travolta's, former professional basketball player Dennis Rodman made a name for himself due as much to his bizarre on and off the court behavior as he did in playing key roles in championships for the Chicago Bulls. In the early morning hours on Labor Day, Rodman, while attending at party at the Hotel Indigo in the Hampton Bays, "retired" to a room with six women. Apparently, Rodman was carrying a wireless microphone that he was using to yell to the crowd at the party. Rodman forgot to, or didn't want to, shut off the microphone in the room. His loud and lascivious comments to his partners in what amounted to an orgy were being broadcast all over the party. Party organizers shut it down after a bit, but enough was reportedly heard so that little was left to the imagination.

So as summer turns to fall, John Travolta faces gay sex allegations, Britney Spears fights a sexual harassment lawsuit and Dennis Rodman broadcasts the audio of his orgy live for lucky, or unlucky, partygoers in the Hamptons.
