John Travolta and Kelly Preston Smile for 'People' While Robert Randolph Gets Death Threats

John Travolta and Kelly Preston proudly display their 7-week-old son Benjamin for "People" magazine. As reported at Yahoo OMG!, Travolta says the baby "brought us a new beginning" and has "given the house a renewed spirit and purpose." Travolta and Preston are also the parents of 10-year-old Ella Bleu. Their son Jett died in 2009. However, there's a long past, and possibly present, that tarnishes the image of a happy and monogamous father and husband for the 56-year-old actor.

Will Robert Randolph's memoir, "You'll Never Spa In This Town Again," get published? The celebrity tell-all exposes homosexual activity at City Spa, an elite all male spa in Los Angeles, where Randolph alleges John Travolta was a member and openly engaged in homosexual activity.

Why write the book? Randolph's motives stem from revenge against City Spa, where he had been a member for over 15 years. Randolph claims the people at the spa, except for employee Nate, treated him badly after he claimed he was violently attacked, more than once, by member Warren Smith. "I figure if that's how they treat me, then why can't I treat them the same. I'll share every dirty secret I learned in the 15 years I was a member there. I hope you like the view into the secret world of John Travolta, John Amos, John Cusack, Jeremy Piven, Pauly Shore, George Michael, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Billy Zane, Andy Dick, Paul Giammatti, and more," writes Randolph.

Despite John Travolta and Kelly Preston's family photos, John Travolta's alleged activity plays a major part of that secret world, claims Randolph. He reports what he saw with his own eyes and what others, such as City Spa masseurs, saw.

Travolta is angry and Travolta's lawyer, Marty Singer, sent a 5 page letter to the website Gawker. Travolta and his lawyer threatened to sue Gawker for posting details Randolph gave to the site of his claims of seeing Travolta having sex with men in the spa. Gawker received a threat of a lawsuit, but Randolph has received death threats, dating back to October of 2010.

However, as scandalous as Randolph's account is, it's nothing new. For years, Travolta has had the gay rumor. The "National Enquirer," who broke the stories about John Edwards' mistress and his love child and who broke the story on Tiger Woods, reported stories, complete with photos, alleging that Travolta is gay. "Be thankful in these times when so many politicians, celebrities, and public figures flat out lie, be thankful that the National Enquirer has the courage to write the truth," writes Randolph.

Not all celebrities have been unwilling to give their opinion on the mighty Travolta. Actress Carrie Fisher recently told "The Advocate" her views about Travolta threatening to sue Gawker, "Wow! I mean, my feeling about John has always been that we know and we don't care. Look, I'm sorry that he's uncomfortable with it, and that's all I can say. It only draws more attention to it when you make that kind of legal fuss. Just leave it be."

Finally, perhaps the most compelling accusations have come from ordinary people, with letters posted at Randolph's website. Said Brian S., "I bet with your book coming everyone will see less of him at the spas. I personally will miss that! It was always so much fun to see the world's biggest movie star getting down and dirty like the rest of us. When do you anticipate your release date?"

Will there be a release date? And, more importantly, will it matter? Travolta is an excellent actor, and John Travolta and Kelly Preston are adored by fans worldwide. Even with the information out from the book, many could not care less if Travolta is gay.
