John Wyche: Did His Mistress Turn Against Him? was Jackie Johnson a Woman Scorned?

Wyche's Mistress Absolved of Wrongdoings

Malina Debrie
Sitting in disbelief while observing the testimonies of individuals subpoenaed to testify in the trial of John Wyche, I wondered why a mistress would testify against the man she helped to put in the position he is now in. Perhaps she required more of Wyche and he would not give in. Perhaps she was a woman scorned.

No matter what the reason, which may never be known, Jackie Johnson is now and will forever be known as the mistress of John Wyche; the home wrecker. Johnson will be looked upon as the Jezebel of the John Wyche racketeering trial. Her reputation has been placed in full view of the public for everyone to shuffle through. Everything done in the dark now has come to light.

John Wyche, 52-year-old businessman, father and husband, was convicted Aug. 9, 2010, on charges of racketeering and mishandling of community funds. Read the details here. Wyche, while awaiting his sentence, has been released, and is free, as determined by Judge Linda Nobles to not be a flight risk. When sentenced, Wyche faces up to 60 years in jail. Sentencing has been delayed until a special background report requested by Judge Nobles is complete.

During the trial, Wyche's former mistress and former housing director for the Land Trust testified for the state. Johnson's testimony included information regarding how Wyche spent some of the land trust's money taking her on extravagant trips and shopping ventures.

Amazingly, Johnson benefited from the money Wyche has been convicted of stealing. Johnson testified of her behind-closed-door conversations with Wyche regarding his total disregard and lack of respect for board of directors members Montressa Boulware and Oliver Darden.

Boulware and Darden discussed removing Wyche from his position of power when their questions were dismissed and land trust money was not being allocated properly. Johnson testified that, after learning of their plans, Wyche spoke of how he had complete disdain for Darden and no respect whatsoever for Montressa.

Oliver Darden is a successful Pensacola businessman and entrepreneur. He formerly owned a chain of Burger Kings in the Pensacola area.

Johnson testified of how he spent lavishly on trips, shoes and dinners using the land trust money. Johnson stated that "The price tag didn't matter." Wyche spent hundreds of dollars on shoes for Johnson while on shopping trips to Destin, Florida, and Orange Beach, Alabama.

During Johnson's testimony, Alisha Wyche, John's wife, along with their teenage son, sat quietly in support of her husband while listening to the details of the affair, spending trips and adulterous extravaganza.

Johnson, the mistress who was romanced and dined, filed a sexual harassment complaint against Wyche in 2008. One has to smirk when considering the fact the mistress would have the nerve to file a sexual harrassment complaint. did she not figure this would happen? Or even did she at one time want his attention and acts of desire. She might have even solicited them. No one really knows the truth but the two of them.

After Johnsons' complaint and charges were filed, Wyche was ousted from his position by the Land Trust board of directors.

And it rolls on and on. We live without mercy, and when we collapse there is no mercy given unto us. I pray these events move hearts toward Jesus.
