Johnny Depp: Pirate, Money and Chocolate

Trinitaria Bonilla
Johnny Depp is a great actor. In addition to that, we all know he has a "Je ne sais quoi" that can make any women watch his movies. He has played many roles. In Pirates of the Caribbean (2003), he is a pirate that makes us laugh. We all enjoy seeing him looking for that treasure. In Secret Window (2004), he is a writer that is about to go crazy because of his wife's infidelity. She and her lover give him every reason to lose his mind. Public Enemies (2009), is another movie where we can see Johnny Depp. In this movie Johnny Depp is John Dillinger, a famous bank robber. The movie is based on reporter Bryan Burrough's book. So far, it has gotten many good reviews.

This famous actor has also been in Chocolat (2000) and Charlie and the chocolate factory (2005) . These two movies have something in common. In both chocolate is an important topic. As we watch these movies we can see how chocolate is made and the power of this delicious treat. The question is, why an actor like Johnny Depp has accepted to be in two movies about chocolate? My answer is very simple, we all love chocolate.

Many of us enjoy eating chocolate and we know that it really makes us feel good. "I have a knack for guessing people's favorite." is a phrase that Vianne constantly says to Roux (Johnny Depp) in the movie Chocolat. The truth is that, we all have our favorites when it comes to chocolate. There are people who like little pieces of pure chocolate. Others prefer chocolate bars with almonds or peanuts. Chocolate can make our heart beat faster as we slowly enjoy each bite. It does not matter what type of chocolate we like, we all buy chocolate. The same thing that motivates us to buy chocolate, motivates us to watch and buy a movie where we can see Johnny Depp. They both make us feel good and we love them.
