Perhaps because of the conflict within his own personality, Johnny Depp has had his ups and downs when it comes to love. He seems to want the best of both world's, but hey, none of us can have that can we? Johnny Depp definitely has an affinity to the beautiful. Appearances are very important to him.

Johnny Depp and Lori Anne Allison, artist, started dating in 1983 and were married on Christmas Eve 1983. This marriage lasted until 1985. He was later quoted as saying he was glad he didn't start a family until his current love. That he was young and going through so many relationships.

Johnny Depp and Jennifer Grey dated in 1989. Jennifer Grey is also an actress. No too many facts found on this one though-perhaps it was too short lived?

Johnny Depp and Winona Ryder were together from 1990 to 1993. A mutual friend set up the first meeting and it was whirlwind from there. five months into it, they were living together, five months after that she had an engagement ring on her hand. This too led to an engagement that ended before a marriage was started.

Johnny Depp and Juliette Lewis began dating in 1993. Ironically both Johnny Depp and Juliette Lewis are both high school drop-outs. She only lasted three weeks before dropping out of school though. She must be a pretty strong woman because at a mere fourteen years of age, she became emancipated from her parents.

When doing research on Jennifer Aniston, it seemed to be a theme. This couple was also engaged, seems Johnny likes the idea of being engaged, but not the actual regular walk down the aisle that typically goes along with engagements.

Connecting a dot here, Juliette Lewis had also dated Bradd Pitt-Jennifer Aniston's ex-husband. Johnny Depp dated Ellen Barkin for a short time in 1994. This was just prior to his beginning to date Kate Moss.

Another dot to be connected here, Ellen Barkin also dated George Clooney.

Johnny Depp and Kate Moss, dated 1995 to 1997. They became engaged. Another broken engagement, are we seeing a theme here? He was quoted by the Daily Star:"I wasn't good enough for her". Sorry you felt that way Johnny, but look, it all turned out in the end right?

Johnny Depp and Naomi Cambell dated in 1998, but must have been short lived, as this was the year he met and stayed with Vanesse Paradis.

Vanessa Paradis and Johnny Depp have been together since 1998. They have a daughter, Lily-Rose Melody Depp, born 27 May 1999, and a son, John Christopher "Jack" Depp III, born 9 April 2002. They are by all appearances very happy and in love. I truly hope that they stay that way, as so many celebrity relationships fade away.

There is a lot of travel to be had between the two of them. Between his acting and her being an actress and singer as well. So far they have managed their time wisely as a family and can frequently be seen doing so together.
