In 2010, the Johnson City Farmers Market will, of course, have a large number of vendors providing area residents with fresh produce, herbs, and plants for their garden. In addition, residents will be able to find homemade baked goods, jams, jellies, and dairy products. Local craftspeople will also have some of their creations for sale. Also, the Johnson City Farmers Market will have Chefs at the Market from July through October. One Saturday each month, a local restaurant will be offering samples, recipes, and showing how the produce at the market is used in their restaurants and how you can use your finds at the market in your own home.
Spend some time shopping your local Farmers Market. You will come away with some great food for the table, plants for your garden, and the satisfaction that you are helping to support the small farmer and your community. In Northeast Tennessee, visit these Farmers Markets:

Post a CommentI am also a fan of our local farmers markets. I cannot wait to see them! Cheers
I love farmers' markets and am looking forward to ours opening again this year. Their fruit and vegetables are larger and cheaper than what is available in grocery stores.
