You Can Help Reunite Missing Persons with Their Loved Ones and Solve Crimes

Karama C. Neal
I cannot imagine the horror of someone I love go missing. Hopefully, you can't imagine it either, and never will. But for some of us, that horror is all too real. And the longer a person is missing, the harder it is to find them. That's why there are so many unsolved missing persons cases. That's where the Doe Network comes in.

The Doe Network (www.doenetwork.org) is "a volunteer organization devoted to assisting Law Enforcement in solving cold cases concerning Unexplained Disappearances and Unidentified Victims from North America, Australia and Europe. It is our mission to give the nameless back their names and return the missing to their families." They work in three ways:

• using their website to give the cases exposure
• organizing volunteers search for clues on these cases and making possible matches between missing and unidentified persons
• soliciting media exposure for these cases that need it

This process has been used to close numerous cases through finding the missing person and naming or finding an unidentified person. You can help solve more cases by volunteering with the Doe Network or its sister agency North American Missing Persons Network. Many states and other organizations have their own networks which can use support.

So if you are good at solving mysteries, if you never forget a face, if you want to reunite loved ones, consider joining the Doe Network. Someone will be very grateful for the closure your efforts can help bring.

There's a phrase most other members will tell you: "I do my job and keep a low head", it's how it works.

Then if you're someone not very nice interested in having power on others, you can try and join the admin, it is not very hard, all you have to do is just drop work (you will never be respected for your work there, never, just because the admin are too busy admiring their navel to notice people's work) and target one or more admin member and starts saying something like:
"What a noble bird I see above me! Her beauty is without equal, the hue of her plumage exquisite. If only her voice is as sweet as her looks are fair, she ought without doubt to be queen of the birds." It should work, many people join the admin with that.

If you like doing research, just do it and send what you find to the webmaster or her assistants, when I was there nothing was done of things sent on the board, I noticed that one day so had to resend some dozens and dozens articles.

I'm not sure what else you can do there; area director or media director.

The job of an area director should be to me to locate forgotten cases of unidentified and missing persons in the first place but all the dn actually ask from them to send their possible matches, at first it's ok but you'll notice the quality of the pms you have to send is not always there so you mustn't be afraid of looking like you're nuts to law enforcement.

It's about the same for media directors, to me their job should first be to publicize the cases but all the dn asks from them is to sit and wait for a charitable soul to contact them.

Well to summarize in the DN you do have to find yourself what needs being done yet keep in mind that the persons who are in the a

Good luck with that lol there is no one to take care of members there but probably you noticed yourself since you posted.

Before there were members who helped others but they all have been eliminated by the "admin" who though they don't do it themselves don't like others to do their job.

This organization rather is a disorganization you have to find yourself what needs being done no one will direct you except to the exit door if they don't like you lol.

Truly it depends on what you want to do, if you want to send possible matches just send them and wait for the panel, who are no professional in the matter though, to say yes or no. In many cases it will already have been sent but you have to lose your time sending it anyway since the possible matches database has been closed as it is top-secret and villain members shouldn't have the priviledge to see it only the Sacro-Saint Admin.

I just joined the Doe network but I'm not sure of the next step to take. I appreciate any help to get me started!

I meant doing the same: trying to match uids and missing not being so nasty lol. And it's .com for the end of my blog's url, it got cut.

highly risky to give them any.

Anyway you can't really work there, their admin censor all members but that's all they know, because if you ask what you can do to help, there is no one that answers you.

The group's atmosphere is so bad, that people barely ever talk, they don't dare to in scare to say something that would displease her majesty the admin and be kicked out. And most friendly people ran away because they knew what was done there and the way people were treated was not right.

You're right; they are not right, I tried to save it myself but failed lamely because bad people were in majority and arrivist enough to reach positions I had had myself zero interest in, doing the job while they shined their crown. There are other groups doing the same:

maybe you can join one of them and if you like to read about cold cases you can read my blog: http://unsolveditn.blogspot.c

Of course not, they like to control, it used to be a good group but after a few articles some people take a huuuuuuuge head and lose contact with what matters, priviledging the pleasure they take in controlling 200 people over the missing and unidentified.

I think the membership application is opened again. But look at their application form, it is ridiculous, most of all coming from people on whom I'd like to run a background check myself as I'm pretty not sure how well they are in their heads.

And, for the info, I was banned from there because my friend who was in their admin made a "high confidential breach" telling me they wanted so or so as a member liaison but it was not a problem for them when another admin member they didn't have on their black list divulged in public personal information about me as well as insulted me because she has heavy paranoid issues and they do ask personal information in this application, I just think they aren't reliable and that so it is high

I WAS VERY INTERESTED IN JOINING THIS GROUP TO HELP OTHERS. I READ THAT THEY HAD SO MANY %22APPLICATIONS%22 TO JOIN THAT THEY WERE NOT TAKING ANY NEW MEMBERS NOW. BUT ISN%27T THAT THE WHOLE POINT%2C MORE MEMBERS MORE HELP%3F I MYSELF CAN SEARCH FOR VICTIMS ON MY OWN%2C I DON%27T NEED THIS GROUP. SEEMS TO ME THERE SOMETING JUST NOT RIGHT ABOUT THIS.

However you can perfectly do like me: work from outside of it. Though those individuals treated me horridly, they still beneficiate largely from my work; for which they take all the credit thanking themselves in the first place on their appreciation page (while most of them never did 1/4 of what I did) and barely no one else other than a few doctors to impress the gallery and crap... I'm not one.

And yes, you see, members come after doctors... Well, worse than that I just saw - and it's just the reflection of what their members are to them - last, all tiny at the bottom of the page. And yet knowing the individuals, I know that's extreme generosity from their part.

Many others do like me and that's really the most healthy way to help identify missing and John/Jane Does, send them info, contact law enforcement yourself if you find a possible match and just ignore them.
