The Cottonwood festival is help at Brickyard Park in Hastings, Nebraska, which has a fine history itself. This historical park was once the site of a brick making factory and at least a portion of one of those buildings still stands today.
This year, there will be several different bands providing entertainment, including famed country music legend Charlie Daniels. Personally, I am looking forward to seeing the live performance of his famous songs, The Devil Went Down To Georgia, and Long-Haired Country Boy.
Along with the Charlie Daniels Band, there will be live jazz music by the Wild Clover Band; a long time favorite of the Cottonwood Festival, and for the first time ever, a talent competition, called Cottonwood's Got Talent, for all who care to show us what they've got. If this is like any other talent competitions that I have seen in the past, it is sure to be very entertaining.
The Cottonwood Festival will also host its annual premier wine tasting event. The wine tasting event will be open on Friday night, June 19th from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. this year. There is an additional $10 fee to attend the wine tasting event. This will give everyone an opportunity to taste different wines that maybe they have wanted to try, but never had the opportunity. This is sure to be a hit with all the wine lovers around.
In addition to the entertainment, there will be displays of fine art and pottery as well as crafts. There will be some old fashioned art and pottery work as well as sculptures on display. Those who attend the Cottonwood Festival are sure to see some really interesting pieces of art.
As if the displays and entertainment weren't enough, the Cottonwood Festival will also have various food booths so you don't have to leave the fun to get a bite to eat or a drink.
If you are looking for a reasonably priced event to enjoy with your family, why not join the fun at this year's Cottonwood Festival. If you need directions or more information, you can find it on the web at
