Jon Cryer is Hired Killer Target Due to Trigger-Happy Ex? Charlie Sheen Rushes to Wife in Hospital ICU

CBS television sitcom 'Two and a Half Men', in its seventh season, is plagued with a dose of double-trouble for two of its three stars- Jon Cryer and Charlie Sheen, both 44.

Jon Cryer. Comedic actor Jon Cryer alerted authorities on January 15, 2010 that he fears his ex-wife has, in trigger-happy fashion, hired a killer to kill him- reports News Australia. Celebrity news TMZ.com cited sources that say the FBI have been investigating this accusation for a week. TMZ has exclusive photos showing Cryer's ex-wife Sarah Trigger with two men who appear to be FBI agents. Trigger and Cryer are involved in a passionate custody fight over their son, Charlie Austin. Jon Cryer is presently married to Lisa Joyner with whom he has a daughter.

After Jon Cryer alerted authorities on Friday of last week about the possibility that Trigger had hired a hitman to kill him, his show 'Two and a Half Men' was taped without the usual studio audience and security persons populated the sound stage. Trigger told TMZlast week that she knew of no plot to kill her ex-husband. The investigation yet continues.

Charlie Sheen. TV-film-star Charlie visited his estranged wife, Brooke Mueller, 32, in a hospital Intensive Care Unit (ICU) today, January 21, despite a protective order that separates the couple from having direct contact. An Aspen judge signed an emergency order that allowed Sheen to rush to Mueller's bedside.

Brook Mueller was hospitalized yesterday with a 105-degree fever. Her lawyer, Yale Galanter, told Access Hollywood that his client's hospitalization stems from surgery earlier this week for an impacted wisdom tooth. Galanter stated, "They [ICU medics] are trying to get the infection and fever under control. The infection has spread." People online reports that Mueller has pneumonia in both lungs.

Sheen's history of domestic violence toward Mueller entered the public limelight with his latest and worst attack on Christmas Day 2009 in Aspen, Colorado when he allegedly held a knife to her throat and also verbalized his threat on her life. Other persons were in the house. Mueller managed to make a 911 call; Sheen was arrested. The troubled couple soon afterwards decided to reconcile but charges may still be pressed against Sheen without Mueller's input. They have nine-month-old twin boys.

Charlie Sheen is allowed to continue his hospital ICU visits to Mueller with the provision that the visits must halt at once if so requested by Mueller or a medical provider. A hearing for the status of the protective order has been moved to February 8 2010, which is also the court date that will determine Sheen's fate- to walk free or to have formal charges of domestic violence pressed against him.
