Jon Cryer is a talented actor with a loyal audience. This season he had to endure a lot of chaos on the show "Two and a Half Men" due to his out of control co-worker, Charlie Sheen. Despite that, he continued on in his work and was a stable influence on the show.

Cryer got some wonderful news Thursday morning. He received an Emmy Award nomination in the category of Supporting Actor, notes the New York Times. Cryer is a solid actor who brings a smile to his role. His character does not revel in angst; he finds a way to enjoy life. It is wonderful he is nominated for an Emmy Award!

Whatever awards Cryer wins this season are well deserved. Not only is he a strong actor, he had to endure a lot of work chaos this year. His show was on hold for a while due to the antics of Sheen, who let his social life get in the way of his professional duties. That put Cryer in the awkward role of not knowing if his job would continue or if the show would be shut down permanently. That must have been very stressful and upsetting.

Despite that, Cryer was able to continue to create a strong performance. He didn't let the drama of the situation with Sheen mar his work skills. It takes a lot of inner strength to carry on when a job is full of disruptions due to another employee.

Eventually Sheen was replaced in his role. That ensured the continuity of the show could continue without ongoing chaos. Cryer was a professional during the crisis. He didn't rant in the media during the time the show was shut down.

Cryer has had a variety of acting roles. He first got a lot of attention with his role in the movie "Pretty in Pink." He showed a lot of whimsy and creativity in that movie. He still has a lot of loyal fans who enjoyed his role as a supportive friend to a girl in crisis.

Best wishes to Cryer with the Emmy Award nomination. He is a superb actor, with a down to earth personality. It will be fun to watch him continue to develop in his acting career. Winning this major award would give him a sense of accomplishment he well deserves.

Do you think Cryer will win the Emmy Award this year? He faces some tough competition. Whatever happens, he is an actor in the career for the long term. Who knows what his future holds. He would probably like to do more movies eventually. For now though he is excelling in the show "Two and a Half Men."
