Jon Gosselin Attempting to End "Kate Plus 8"

Jon Gosselin is attempting to end the show "Kate Plus 8." Because both Jon and Kate Gosselin own the home that the hit television show "Jon and Kate Plus 8" was filmed at, he has the right to end all production and filming of the show. He and his lawyer are in the process of ending the show and are not allowing any TLC staff members on the premesis of the house.

His reasons for ending the show is that the "family was like a trainwreck." He believed that the whole family was suffering in order to keep the show going and because he has joint custody of the children, he has just as much of a say in the matter as Kate does. Jon does not believe that it is not in their best interest for the children to continue the show, and since he has joint custody he has the right to take care of his children and keep their best interests in check.

This could effectively end TLC's show, "Kate Plus Eight," and what does this mean to the fans of the TLC's show? Well now the show could be done for good. Though we all have loved Jon and Kate's show chronicling their children, Jon might have a case to ending the show. He has plenty of reasons to ending the show and it is not fair to his children for them to be exploited. Even if Kate takes more care of the children than he does. Legally, he has just as much of a say as Kate does.

Jon and his lawyer are not allowing any TLC members or staff on the premises of the house and will prosecute at the fullest extent of the law if they find that any TLC staff are still on the premises. Because their home and family has become such an important aspect of the average person's life, there will probably be a big trial and a lot of media driven attention focused at this.

I personally believe that Jon is correct in attempting to end "Kate Plus 8" because, against what most people believe, the children are not getting a fair childhood because of this show. TLC has exploited Jon and Kate's family and the eight children do not deserve to have this exploitation done to them. The TLC hit, Jon and Kate Plus 8 and now Kate Plus 8 have both destroyed these children's lives and it is not fair to them to have to continue going through this.
