Jonathan Keith Gosselin was born on April 4, 1977 in Wyomissing; PA and his professional career is in the information-technology field.

Jon Gosselin is best known for appearing on the popular reality TV show Jon & Kate Plus 8 along with his wife, Kate and their eight children. Jon & Kate aired on TLC channel.

Jon first met Kate while attending a company picnic in October 1997.

Jon married Kate on June 12, 1999.

Wrote a book in 2008 along with Beth Carson and Kate titled Multiple Bles8ings: Surviving to Thriving with Twins and Sextuplets.

Jon appeared on the television show, American Choppers which is aired on TLC.

Jon & Kate Gosselin were stars of the reality show series, Jon & Kate Plus 8 and on season 5 debut of the show, Jon & Kate Plus 8 had more than 9 million watchers.

In 2006, Jon & Kate declined being in the Discovery Health special which was titled, Surviving Sextuplets and Twins after all of the stories were circulating in the media about their troubled relationship.

In June 2009, Jon started the proceedings which were necessary to dissolve his marriage with Kate.

TLC announced on September of 2009 that the name of the show would be changed to Kate Plus 8 and that Jon would be filmed less and only by himself or with the children but would not be filmed with Kate. Soon after this on October 15, 2009, Jon asked his lawyer to prepare a cease- and desist -order which stated that any filming of his children was prohibited and this was presented to the crew at TLC. TLC then decided to wait on changing the name of the show and if the show is never picked up and filmed and finished, then TLC said that they will air something else in the shows reserved time slot.
