Jon and Kate Plus 8: Affairs?

How Could They Possibly Find the Time?

According to Celebuzz, the affair of Jon Gosselin and Deanna Hummel has now been confirmed. Jon is "Jon" of "Jon and Kate Plus 8", a show featured on TLC. Jon and Kate are the parents of sextuplets and an older set of twins which makes a total of 8 children.

Though Jon's affair is now widely known and being reported as fact in several national magazines such as US Weekly which, includes interviews and information from several relatives and family friends. Jon says he "did not do it". Unfortunately, true or not we are also now hearing from the tabloids that Kate is having an affair with the family's bodyguard.

As a mother of three small children - two of whom are twins, I can only begin to imagine how much time parenting septuplets has taken. Then, add in the factor of the older child that must be given separate, special attention and you have total chaos.

I do not regularly watch "Jon and Kate Plus 8" but I have seen interviews with the couple and Jon had at one point said that he was glad he has a job to go to so that he can escape. While I can sympathize with him - I often want to escape (but I don't), it appears now that he has found an escape....

As to Kate's reported affair, nothing has been confirmed but apparently People Magazine will have an answer to that this week where Kate will reportedly deny such rumors.

As a mother of three and a wife within a family, I hope the country will reserve judgment. I have to believe that the rumors about Kate are false. I cannot understand where she would possibly find the time to take a shower much less have an affair.

This family has, by necessity put themselves in our world view. I am saying necessity because suddenly they found themselves the parents of 8 children - not 2 as they had likely planned. They nearly had to take the offer to become famous just to pay the bills. They are celebrities but deserve respect and the benefit of the doubt. They should have the luxury to work their problems out in privacy.

But I am guessing that the series will be cancelled and the gravy train is over...too bad - they had a good thing going. How are they going to support all those kids now?
