Season Finale of Jon and Kate Plus 8 Airs on Monday, March 23rd

The season finale of Jon and Kate Plus 8 is stirring up a lot of buzz around the internet as TLC dropped an interesting tag-line to lead into the final episode. With all of the recent press surrounding the show, and rumors that the parents of the 8 kids (Jon and Kate) might be getting a divorce, it seems TLC is trying to capitalize off of that energy. Thus the Jon and Kate Plus 8 season finale is getting some pretty nice treatment in an obvious attempt to boost the ratings a little bit more.

The last episode of Jon and Kate Plus 8 saw the show pass 3 million viewers total, cementing it once again as one of the top watched shows on cable, and by far the most successful one that has graced TLC. Those ratings points are easily turned into dollar signs by people at the network, and it is easy to see that if you take a show that is garnering a large audience, and add a little extra flair for drama to the promotion of the show, you are going to end up with more people tuning in to see what might, or might not, happen on upcoming episodes.

Now that the current season of Jon and Kate Plus 8 is winding to a close, this will be TLC's last chance to draw in a ton of viewers for an original episode at this time. TLC is running repeat episodes of the show over and over again at different times in order to keep drawing in more viewers, and to a certain extent, this seems to be a winning formula for the network. After the Jon and Kate Plus 8 season finale airs on Monday night, March 23rd, they will be having a couple more marathons of the show where people will be able to catch up on episodes that they may have missed in the past. By upping the promotion of the show, it surely will turn into a DVD set available to be purchased by fans of the show.

Jon and Kate Plus 8 has continued to be a lightning rod show, where many viewers tune in because they love the family dynamic of the parents and their eight kids, but an equal number tune in because they look down upon the shows premise of video-taping the lives of kids. Either way, TLC has found a winning combination with Jon and Kate Plus 8 and surely they are taking advantage of their viewers by teasing with promos that may insinuate that drama heard in the press could turn out to be true. The only real way for fans to find out what is going on is to tune in to the Jon and Kate Plus 8 season finale; and TLC is banking on it.

tweet2009- God didn't put this on Kate and Jon they chose to do the show. When we decide to do things and don't ask God who sees the future we get into trouble.Kate had christian people, her dad who is a pastor, offer them things for the kids and she refused. Since then she has not spoken to her dad. Kate has let fame and money dictate her life. She needs to end the show before she loses her kids also.

Wow, it's really sad that people have to have the public dictate what they can do or not do. I truly hope Kate stays exactly the way she is and the same goes for Jon. It appears that TLC can't stay away from the Gosselins :-) Oh, what was Jon's wishes on that matter. I don't recall him stating what his wishes were. Another thing, it's not the crews job to "say something". There job is to film etc....that's it.

I hope Kate been reading all these comments, so see knows what the public thinks of there treating Jon the way she has. We will find out in the new show. Kate can't stay away from the camera. Remember Jon had a problem with it.
She ignored Jon's wishes again. this time if she disrespects Jon i Hope the Crew says something to her.

Show the huge season finale and the mystery of them maybe not coming back...and then tonite I see a commercial for Jon & Kate Going Green in their new home...new show to appear April 18th (i think that was the date 18 or 19)...they aren't going anywhere. All a bunch of crap to make us look for them and tune in "just in case there's drama"....it's getting old.

How the heck could a couple with eith kids get a divorce? Which parent would take primary custody, or would they split the children evenly by age and gender? Boy, that has the capacity to screw up a lot of little minds. If Jon and Kate can see their way clear of their own personal ego, they should definately try some comunication workshops, some marriage counseling, private therapy,,,whatever it takes to grow through this time in their life. Personally, I think they oought to let the show go. Maybe only have a holiday special or something once in awhile.

If the show does go away, I wouldn't mind at all a 2 or 3-hour, once a year special to find out what they've been up to. Remember the McCaughey septulets from Iowa? Ann Curry from NBC visited them once a year and did a 2-hour show. It was cute because she talked to each child separately. It would be fun to hear what the Gosselin kids have to say in a year. IT would be nice to see them one-on-one vs. smacking a sibling during a couch interview.

I hope TLC thinks about that. A 2-3 hour documentary once a year would be great!

Hello adriennie, if you have been watching the show from the beginning Jon was doing more things and dressing the kids. i didn't see much of Kate do this for the kids.
