Jon and Kate Plus 8 Star Jon Gosselin Caught with Another Woman

Pictures of Jon Gosselin the father of eight on TLC's hit show Jon and Kate Plus 8 that show him out with an attractive mystery woman have recently been circulating. Jon has said this was an old female friend of his, but his actions like rushing her into the car and saying "Hey babe! babe! hand me my jacket" have led people to believe otherwise. What does this mean for Jon and Kate's relationship and the show? Has Jon grown tired of the family life, or is he possibly just another victim of the reality show relationship curse? For whatever reason it is that Jon was seen out on the town with another woman one thing is for certain this fiasco will definitely net TLC some huge ratings when "Jon and Kate Plus 8" returns for its fifth season that has already been announced.

Speculation of a divorce and cheating was already being discussed when season four was being aired, so no doubt Jon and Kate have been having some relationship troubles. The photos of Jon out with another woman could very well mean the end of their relationship and the show, but lets take a look at the reality of this reality show to understand what would have possessed Jon to do this. First off I really don't think Jon and Kate knew what they were signing up for when they decided to do the show. Raising eight kids is hard enough alone without the media attention and people you don't even know judging your relationship and how you raise your kids. After watching the show just a few times I could see how much pressure Jon was under, I actually recall feeling sorry for him In a couple episodes. Men deal with pressure a number of ways and sadly cheating is one of those ways, I believe this is just Jon's way of dealing with the stress and anxiety from his wife, kids, and the television show.

Reality show relationships are the only thing worse than high school relationships it seems. First Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey split, then Carmen Electra and Dave Navarro, and lets not forget everyone's favorite Britney Spears and Kevin Federline. This begs the question if any relationship can work while being hounded by cameras, the media, and even public opinion. The whole reality TV experience takes a lot away from a relationship when the cameras are on or off.

Hopefully Jon will work his problems with Kate out, If not for her then for the kids, because drama aside the kids are the whole reason Jon and Kate are household names anyway. They both need to take a look at their lives and see if continuing the show is the best thing for them and their children. Raising eight kids in today's society is hard and Jon and Kate can not change the fact that they brought eight lives into this world that they are responsible for, and it is up to them to give those kids the best upbringing they can and that would be quite difficult with a cheating father. So to Jon I say "Shape up and put your family first." .
