The final episode of Jon and Kate plus Eight has finally aired. The end came quickly through a cease and desist order filed by Jon Gosselin supposedly for the protection of his eight children. Jon expressed concern for the welfare of his children and have implied several times recently that his children may have been exploited. Kate has expressed much different feelings about the show, and during the final episode Kate said that the show has given her family many opportunities that they would not have otherwise had.

During the last interview with Jon for Jon and Kate plus Eight, Jon boasted about "finally being free" from both the show and Kate. Jon attributed his behavior over the past eight months on not having freedom in his twenty's. Jon stated that he had children all through out his twenty's an thought that his behavior may have been him "reverting back to 23." Jon confirmed on the show, that he is still dating Hailey Glassman and he will continue to make it work with her while finding a way to maintain a friendship with Kate. Kate insisted that the children are all totally unaware of Jon's dating life. Kate expressed great concern for the children finding out that Jon has a girlfriend and assured viewers that her children will not know about any girlfriend that Jon may have.

Kate expressed to viewers that she felt that the end of the show came too soon and that she was sad to see Jon and Kate come to an end. Kate thanked viewers for all of their support and for allowing her family into the viewer's home's and watching her children grow up. Kate ended with a heartfelt and tearful good bye. Although the show Jon and Kate has come to an end, they will still be very much a part of our lives, as their very public divorce comes to a close. Jon's carefree, and sometimes reckless behavior, will surely grace the covers of magazines to come as Jon and Kate try to find a middle ground to raise their children as a no longer married couple.
