Jon & Kate Plus Eight is TLC's top-rated series, but who can deny the drama that has surrounded the family. The drama is no surprise to its loyal viewers. But recently, the last show that aired didn't have very much bickering between the two. The constant fighting wasn't where it usually was during their previous interviews. Jon & Kate seemed to distance themselves emotionally, physically, and verbally. Jon always had a hard time speaking through the interviews, but these last two episodes that included the finale were different.

People magazine and US Weekly's magazine both featured stores on Jon & Kate Plus Eight. Both magazines reportedly featured articles about Jon wrong doing Kate. The articles stated that Jon was out partying, visiting bars, posing for pictures, and even leaving with a blonde and a few other college girls. Jon's deeds all tool place in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania. Huntingdon, Pennsylvania is where Jon's mom lives. He kept stressing that he was away from home for eight days to help his mom out around the house to justify his actions. According to his tone throughout the finale he seemed angered and upset that he couldn't go out without anyone recognizing him from the show.

The producers built up the season finale to something more then it wasn't. Throughout the finale the clip of Jon saying, "I can't just be Jon, I have to be Jon & Kate Plus Eight" showed up three times until they finally got to the last question. The couple both admitted that they were at a "difficult place." The wild speculations of Jon & Kate divorcing flooded the internet, but without doubt. Jon & Kate's body language has changed. When they do their interviews they aren't arm and arm like they use to be. Kate has been traveling more to promote the show and her books Eight Little Faces and Love is in the Mix: Making Meals Into Memories. The family has also recently purchased a condo in Utah. The snowy condos location was featured in a previous episode in the season. Jon and Cara went to take some time with each other. Jon is a simple guy. I think the media and popularity is too much for him. Jon & Kate aren't home at the same time, and by being away from each other could cause a disruption in any relationship, not just Jon & Kate's. It just happens that their relationship is out in the public eye.

This could have been a publicity stunt that TLC wanted the producers to do for ratings. We will all have to wait and see if season five comes out!
