Jon & Kate Plus Eight: Not as Wholesome as They Appear
In the beginning of Jon & Kate Plus Eight, we were introduced to the Gosselin family's twin girls, Mady and Cara, and the sextuplets, Alexis, Aaden, Hannah, Joel, Collin, and Leah. We watched as their daily lives unfolded into the hectic chaos of a family with eight children. However, lately the episodes of Jon & Kate Plus Eight has turned into little more than a prime time advertising spot for many businesses.
According to the blog, Truth Breeds Hatred, which is written by Jodi's sister, not only has Jon & Kate Plus Eight become a mass marketing tool for business and retailers but it has also become a show of hatred, greed, jealousy, and betrayal. Truth Breeds Hatred states that Aunt Jodi was offered a contract to appear on Jon & Kate Plus Eight Season 2. Not wanting to go behind the backs of Jon and Kate, Jodi tells them the offer that she had received.
A quote from Truth Breeds Hatred, "Kate immediately accused Jodi and Kevin of being there for the money. This is what is so upsetting! Not the fact that she refused to allow them to be paid, but the things that she said to Kevin's face. Of course, it was hurtful, but the point is, Jodi knew that if she wanted to have a relationship with the children, she had to go along with Kate and still be useful. There was NO fight over money. Jodi accepted Kate's wishes and told Kate--herself--that she didn't care about the contract or money. She just wanted to continue what they had been doing all along.
Kate said NO--she was hiring someone else. So at that point, Jodi knew she was out. Not just off the show, but out of their lives. That's the way it works. The network would now pay for someone else, so Jodi was no longer of any use to Kate. I know that sounds harsh and some want to believe there was some big family feud, but that isn't the case at all."
It appears that the cute and wholesome Gosselin family on Jon & Kate Plus Eight is not as wholesome as they appear. The story, which took viewers into the lives of the parents struggling to raise eight children, has become a way for the Gosselin family to exploit their children; making them the cash cows of the family.

Post a CommentWith all that is going on now between Jon and Kate, it's high time Jodi and Kevin spoke out again. What, if anything, can they do to help the poor kids during this horrible time. What do they know. Somebody has to start telling some truth here, and it will never come from either Jon or Kate.

jon&kate are just human like you and me.they can make mistakes like you and me.leave them alone.if they are having problems.let them work it out
I think it is time to pull the plug on the series. I have had enough of Kate and athe way she treats her husband. Do I blame him for straying, No. It is all Kate
I feel a great sadness for the family. It started out such a wonderful show with such good possibilities. But, if you leave God out of the family (and I never saw an episode where they even spoke of religion much less attended church) then the heart of the family usually breaks apart. As much as I loved the show, it is difficult to see 2 young people with 8 beautiful children going through a divorce. I think from now on I choose not to watch the wreck in progress.
I believe that Mady is playing the part of "big sister". Kate should slow her down a bit.
Mady needs help big time! so does Kate.. someone need to really show her what a witch she has turned into. I can see where Jon wants out of the show. I think it started out as a good thing, but kate grew to big of a head, cutting out family memeber and I'm sure anyone else that didn't bow down to her.. I really miss Aunt Jodi...Kate has made sure that she no longer can be on the show..w hy? she is a better person that kate, and Kate knows it..
Has anyone else wondered if Mady has been
tested for a chemical brain disorder or
bipolar disease? She is so obviously out of wack compared to the rest of the family on a consistant basis.
It does not surprise me at all that Jon would be looking for attention somewhere
else. The episode where he told her she
treated him like a dog said it all...she is horrible!.For the sake of the children I hope they can work things out...but the
changes will have to begin with her...she is such a control freak!! So where does God fit into her life. And how does she
submit to her godly husband? yipes!

I don't like the show and I do change the channel. I am not even getting into everything that I don't like...Some points: my husband and I have four kids altogether (two are in college) and we would NEVER subject any of them to this nonsense. Jon and Kate are getting a lot of money to be "stressed". If they couldn't afford the children...why do the American viewers pay for them?? We are by watching the dumb show...My husband and I work full-time, by the way and are very grateful for all that we have...
