Jon & Kate Plus Eight Not Returning

TLC did a great job of making a nail biting fourth-season finale for Jon & Kate Plus Eight on March 23, 2009. The controversy that supports this finale is Jon cheating on Kate with a couple of college students. He made sure to stress the fact that he was helping out his mother. The episode aired right after the couple learned that news broke out about Jon being a partier while his wife was at home. According to US Weekly, Jon was seen at least three miles away from his home. The reason for this was because he was helping his mom recover from a broken bone. Jon didn't seem to keen on staying in the spot light and going on with a new season of the popular television series, but Kate insisted that it is the best job that she ever had and she couldn't be happier.

The commercials working up to the finale alluded the fact that Jon and Kate were ending, separating, or getting a divorce. They only the producers did was recap Jon saying that he didn't want people to know him as Jon & Kate Plus Eight. He wanted to be a separate entity from his wife and kids. This is rather foolish because the show has been airing for four seasons straight. The family tapes three times a week since the beginning of the series. I was watching an earlier episode last night with Jon & Kate when they took their kids back to the hospital to recap the memories. Jon said that things are changing and that they both had to get use to the spotlight because they were becoming celebrities. This was part of their first season and its ironic that now he says the same thing, but wants out!

A TLC spokeswoman said the Jon & Kate needed to take some quality time out for each other. This is probably because this is TLC most successful show. The spokeswoman goes on saying, "The top priority is to let them have some quality time together." Jon made it really clear in the last show when he rolled his eyes and tilted his head back that he was done with filming. He said that he hasn't gotten use to the fame. He wants privacy. I could see where this would cause a problem if Jon was being unfaithful or getting a little too crazy when he went to relieve himself from Kate and the kids. I've been watching Jon & Kate Plus Eight for a long time and I agree that the show has taken a downward turn. Its main focus were the kids and not its main focus are the Jon & Kate.
