The First Episode of Season Five Will Air on TLC April 19th, 2009

Jon & Kate Plus Eight starts season five with an all new episode titled, "Jon & Kate Plus Eight: Go Green!" According to TLC the first episode of the season will air on April 19th at 9:00 p.m. The family had some problems in the past season with Jon. He did not want to continue on with another season of Jon & Kate Plus Eight, according to Jon, "I can't just be Jon, I have to be Jon & Kate Plus Eight, which is a real hard thing for me. I still haven't come to grips with it." The night the season finale of Jon & Kate Plus Eight season four aired, was the same night the media was accusing Jon of cheating on Kate with a college student.

The Gosselin family has come a long way since the beginning of their show. They have actually not stopped filming since the show started premiered in May of 2006. So far, Kate Gosselin has written to books, one titled, "Multiple Blessings (2008)" and the other titled "Eight Little Faces (2009)." The Jon & Kate Plus Eight episodes have had four successful seasons. Fans were clenching while they waited to hear whether Jon & Kate Gosselin would go on with another season. Surprisingly, Jon & Kate Plus Eight is back for season five. On April 2, 2009, Jon & Kate were at TLC's upfront promoting their new season.

As a fan, I am going to say that I hope Jon and Kate were able to fix their problems as a couple. They seemed to have a lot of issues the night the finale aired on March 23,2009. If I am doing my math right Jon & Kate took a twenty-seven day break from the show, which couldn't possibly be right because there are already commercials on TLC promoting the season's first show on April 19th. The producers know that Jon & Kate Plus Eight is the most watched show on TLC. This could have been a teaser for the producers so that Jon & Kate could more money in their contract for another season. That sounds pretty rash, but Aunt Jodie said the family has gotten nasty in blog titled, "Truth Breeds Hate."

The family does live in a $1.5 million dollar mansion, so I could see how the show has brought them a lot of fame and money. Jon & Kate are good parents, but it seems like they have problems of their own. The producers started focusing the show on Jon & Kate's marital problems rather than the kids. I've been watching since the beginning and one thing I could say is that I with the producers would go back to filming the show documentary style (the way season one/part of season two).

How do you think the first episode of season five will pan out? Let me know, I would love to hear your comments and thoughts on the Jon & Kate Plus Eight!

I've been watching Jon & Kate since their first season and they have changed, but I really hope they took time to fix their family problems before they jumped back from their less then 27 day break from the finale of season 4 and the first episode of season five.
