Jon Stewart vs. Jim Cramer on Comedy Central's 'Daily Show'

Jon Stewart Gives Jim Cramer an Earful on the Daily Show

Welcome to "Brawl Street." It's Jon Stewart vs. Jim Cramer on the Comedy Central program "The Daily Show."

Jon Stewart took on CNBC's 'Mad Money' Jim Cramer on 'The Daily Show with Jon Stewart' last night. The show was dubbed "Welcome to Brawl Street" by The Daily show. The disagreements between the two have been brewing and finally a face-to-face meeting took place. Jon Stewart played a tape from December 22, 2006, with Jim Cramer talking about hedge funds.

Jim Cramer talked being about creating "a level of activity beforehand that could drive the futures" of the hedge funds. This practice he calls legal, but it seems very unethical to me. This tape seemingly was never meant to be seen by the public. Stewart said, "I know you want to make finance entertaining but it's not a ******* game."

I applaud Jon Stewart for calling Jim Cramer out. Many Americans look to Jim Cramer for financial advice and he has admittedly made some mistakes. If you missed the show and would like to see the video of Jon Stewart interview with Jim Cramer, you can see it here.

A few days prior to this interview, Jim Cramer went on the TODAY show and talked about John Stewart feud with him saying "A comedian's attacking me! Wow! He runs a variety show!"

Jon Stewart has taken on other CNBC personalities before. Jon Stewart had an interview scheduled with Rick Santelli after Santelli made disparaging remarks about "loser" homeowners possibly getting a mortgage bailout. Rick Santelli canceled the interview and Jon Stewart has not gotten to sit down with him directly. You can see Jon Stewart recap CNBC's mistakes here. Suze Orman has also sometimes been accused by some of giving bad financial advice.

I, like many CNBC viewers, have received bad financial advice over the years. Many Americans have learned now more than ever not to take financial advice given on TV at face value. I now do my best to investigate before making any new stock buys or stock trades. The more we dive into the information, the better prepared we feel to make a decision. I realize that CNBC does not have a crystal ball and cannot predict the future with any certainty.
