Jonah Hill, Russell Brand Win Best Kiss

Technically speaking, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson won the 2010 MTV Movie Award for Best Kiss. I think many would agree, however, that theirs was immensely overshadowed by the steamy kiss between Jonah Hill and Russell Brand prior to the announcement of the nominees for the Best Kiss category.

After a night of watching The Twilight Saga: New Moon dominate every category that they garnered a nomination in, it was quite refreshing to watch the comedic relief offered between awards. Few moments stole the show as the "romantic" moment caught on camera between Jonah Hill and Russell Brand during the shows "Kiss Cam" segment that aired prior to announcement of the nominations for Best Kiss.

The Kiss Cam was executed exactly as it would have at a major sports function. Cameras highlighted various couples in the crowd, projecting them on to the large screen on stage. Clearly labeled "Kiss Cam" with hearts framing the video feed, couples were left with no choice but to kiss for the camera. A surprised Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens were the first couple to reluctantly share a brief peck. The Kiss Cam scans the crowd and offers a few more heart warming kisses before...BAM. Jonah Hill and Russell Brand find themselves dead center on the big screen.

The crowd erupted in laughter as soon as they saw Jonah Hill and Russell Brand sharing the Kiss Cam screen. Seemingly excited to find themselves onscreen, not a moment was spared before they leapt into each other's arms and shared a passionate kiss. Hill and Brand nearly mauled each other in what could only be described as a frenzied, lustful kiss of the year. Both hilarious and uncomfortable to watch, Hill and Brand's kiss was one of my favorite moments of the night.

Jonah Hill and Russell Brand Chemistry is Sizzling
The unexpected kiss proved the onscreen chemistry between Jonah Hill and Russell Brand. Get Him to the Greek, released to theaters June 4th, stars the comedic pair. After watching the spectacle they made of themselves (in a good way), I'll be rushing out to the see their movie. Anything with the mashing of their personalities has to be gut-wrenchingly funny.
