Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience - A Review for Parents and Kids

The Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience has hit movie theaters and in true pop culture form, gone over well with kids and teens. The Jonas Brothers entertained, danced, sang, their little hearts out on state, before a crowd of thousands through the movie. The 3D experience was true to life and even made movie goers yelp aloud. You can't go wrong with Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience for your little fan, or really even...that's right... yourself!

Taking my daughter to see the Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience was not even an option, she made that much clear. She would do whatever it took, chores until 2020 if that is what it took to get her to the movie. I purchased my Jonas Brothers tickets off of Fandango ahead of time, in anticipation of a quick sell out. Just last year we had attended Hannah Montanna in 3D and if that was any sign as to how other star's concert movies would be, I knew we had to plan ahead!

We received our 3D glasses, very Tom Cruise - Risky Business, at the door. My daughter immediately put them on and skipped straight over to the line of kids and teens and their parents waiting for the seating time for our Jonas Brothers concert extravaganza to arrive. The line went the length of the theater, over one hundred people waiting. The line grew larger as we waiting for our seating time to start, so the cumulative amount of bubbly fans were more than 150.

After finding the perfect seats , which are the middle of the theater and middle row, we strapped in and got ready for the ride! The previews for other films took up several minutes time before Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience started. You don't want to miss the previews to the Jonas Brothers 3D film , because they are all in 3D . The previews were for other feature films coming out in 3D . We have a lot to be excited about in the way of this new technology, the experience already was proving to be entertaining. This was just previews!

The Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience movie opened with the boys making a helicopter escape because they were stuck in traffic and throngs of screaming fans had found them. The movie then takes us to their concert at Madison Square Garden , where they continue to play a couple of songs. The movie goes back and forth from playing in the venue to a real life documentary of what it takes to get ready that day for the Jonas Brothers.

You get to tag along with Kevin Jonas, Nick Jonas and Joe Jonas as they wake up in the morning, eat breakfast, tease each other, attend interviews and get ready for the show. The movie shows you what happens during the concert, costume changes (Yes you get to see a shirtless Jonas!) , and getting pumped up for the crowd. The 3D part really factors in only during the concert performances part of the movie.

During the concert performances (which are the bulk of Jonas Brothers 3D) you feel as if Kevin, Nick and Joe are right in front of you performing to you. You feel as if you are in the best seat of the house. The brothers have incredible stage presence , and each bring their own quality to the film.

Nick Jonas is the brother who comes off as the most serious out of all of the Jonas Brothers. While Kevin and Joe are definitely comfortable with the cameras and performing on stage, Nick is more subdued. He doesn't dance like his brothers often do , around the stage. He does take several turns playing the drums, however. He focuses on playing the guitar and singing, and leaves the entertaining to his brothers.

Kevin Jonas has several interactive 3D moments where he points at you (the fan) , dances to you, and sings to you. He is extremely aware as to where the camera is at all times . Kevin Jonas has an outgoing personality, and never puts his guitar down. I don't think a smile left his face for even one second during the entire movie. Kevin Jonas is the older brother of the Jonas trio and this really is highlighted during the off stage moments of the movie. Kevin keeps Nick and Joe (or tries to) in order , on schedule and concentrated on the tasks at hand. He doesn't always succeed , though.

Our last Jobro (as their fans call them ) is Joe Jonas. Wow, what can I say about this guy? He is reminiscent of a pretty boy with a hyper active element . He loves the spot light, and can't get enough of the screaming fans. On stage he performs with a back breaking enthusiasm, dances his heart out and manages to sing every note perfectly. If you don't think that is enough, apparently he is a gymnast, too ! Nick and Joe perform several back flips, back tucks and round offs during the show together.

Guest starring in their show is Demi Lovato and Taylor Swift. They did a great job, although Taylor Swift stole the spot light from Demi, undoubtedly. Demi performed like she was in a broad way show with her actions, choreographed moves, and stiff character. Taylor got out on that stage and sold it , especially to Joe Jonas. She sang, she danced, and it came so naturally to her. Is she our next Hannah? This girl has "it" , maybe she will be our next Disney 3D Concert Experience.

For any fan that is begging to see Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience , don't hesitate to take them. As a parent you might think you are buying tickets to a ride through your worst night mare, but this isn't true. You will find yourself surprisingly entertained for 76 minutes of the Jonas Brothers' singing, dancing and stage antics. Just be sure to grab some popcorn, because you'll need a little salt to counter act all that bubble gum sweet that will be left in your mouth.
