Jonas Brothers' A Little Bit Longer: Album Review

Can the Jonas Brothers Win Over Everyone?

Unless you have been living under a rock, you or someone you know has felt or heard of Jonas Mania. This weak-in-the-knees inducing phenomenon is created by the New Jersey pop trio the Jonas Brothers. With millions of girls behind them The Jonas Brothers are conquering the world. Will A Little Bit Longer help them to receive some acceptance from an audience other than screaming teenage girls?

The first single off of A Little Bit Longer is Burnin' Up. The song can be heard on radio stations all over the world currently. The song is a very solid pop song, something that is currently missing from mainstream Top 40 radio.

The second single is Pushin Me Away. The song is different sonically than most of the other tracks especially at the onset; however it builds into traditional Jonas Brothers' fare by the chorus.

The third single is Tonight. The track is another up-tempo pop-rock track. The song features a strong melody and nice harmonies.

The forth single is the title track A Little Bit Longer. The song is very different than many of the other songs on the album. The song is a ballad unlike most of the up-tempo fare on the album.

BB Good is a very strong way to open up the album. The song features strong guitars and almost 80's hairband harmonies and melodies. The song shows the Jonas' influence growing up in New Jersey.

Shelf is an interesting rock track. The song features a strong melody and strong musicianship from the brothers and their band.

Sorry has an electro-pop feel to it. The song sounds as if it was from a completely different era.

Can't Have You is the Jonas' attempt to mirror Coldplay's arena rock style. The song is solid and interesting.

One Man Show is a frantic pop-rock track. The song is not the best on the album however you can definitely hear thousands of teenage girls singing along to it.

The funny thing about the Jonas Brothers' is that their music is not as teenage-friendly, mainstream-pop fodder as one might expect. They are almost an introduction for the youth of America to find rock and roll. Shockingly, their CD is not bad whatsoever. Overall A Little Bit Longer gets 8 out of 10. If you are a fan of The Jonas Brothers make sure you pick up A Little Bit Longer.
