Joran Van Der Sloot Confesses to Murder in Peru - Claims it was Unplanned
Authorities in Peru Are Reporting that Joran Van Der Sloot Has Confessed to Murder
Joran van der Sloot claims Stephany Flores Ramirez learned about Natalee Holloway on his laptop.
According to news agencies in Peru, Joran van der Sloot confessed to murdering Stephany Flores Ramirez after he found her looking for information on his laptop about his identity. According to a television news station in Peru, America Noticias, Joran van der Sloot admitted that he flew into a rage after Stephany Flores Ramirez used his laptop without his permission to do an internet search of his name, revealing information about the Natalee Holloway case.
Legal System in Peru is more lenient in cases of "Honest Confession"
The legal system in Peru is known to be more lenient in sentencing when what is called an "honest confession" has been made. This could prove to be a clever move on Joran van der Sloot's part because he will spend less time in prison. With the confession, it's possible that Joran van der Sloot will receive a sentence ranging from 6-20 years.
According to authorities in Peru, Joran van der Sloot claimed that he didn't mean to kill Stephany Flores Ramirez. Van der Sloot claims that it was an act of passion brought on by her intrusion into his private life coupled with her fear and attempt to flee once she uncovered the information about the Natalee Holloway disappearance in Aruba.
This time there's proof.
Unlike the Natalee Holloway case in Aruba, authorities in Peru have an abundance of evidence on their side. There is video surveillance footage of Joran van der Sloot and Stephany Flores Ramirez at a casino together as well as footage of the pair actually entering the hotel room together. The same surveillance camera recorded Joran van der Sloot departing the hotel room alone approximately three hours later. A hotel employee reported that van der Sloot had asked hotel employees not to bother his girl when he left.
Stephany Flores Ramirez's body was discovered by a hotel employee a couple of days later and reported to police in Peru thereby setting off a manhunt for Joran van der Sloot in South America. Police in Chile were able to make and arrest and Joran van der Sloot was extradited to Peru to face murder charges.

Post a CommentGreat update. Should be interesting to see if this fella gets what he deserves.
The young Peruvian woman seems too demure or subdued to look into anything. I believe he is just telling a lie that might seem believable if she were alert. I do not think the person that followed him into that room was "ABLE" to be herself. She may have objected to his advances, and she was supposed to have had money on her person. He probably put or sent it somewhere while he was out. He will say or do anything on a gamble that it could help better his situation. I think anything he says should be considered a LIE. HE IS A LIEING SOCIOPATH.
Fantastic reporting Kathrine! I, too, hope this somehow leads to some closure in the Holloway case.
The evidence got cold in Aruba! Botched! Peru is different! Also a lot of cover-up in Aruba! Thanks for reporting this and following on Fox News! Thanks!
P.S. google Lurigancho Prison in Peru ..... this is where he will face JUSTICE.
I wonder if the Aruban officials are sleeping well at night..... I feel there are more than one guilty party involved.
I hope that he confesses or gives up information for the Holloway case.
well written report!
Here on the island everyone is rejoicing about this character being caught.
They need to check Thailand and the other countries for unsolved female murder cases where Joran was traveled.
What need to be investigated is if Stephany knew from before if he was Joran v.d Sloot and if she was trying to investigate, check her home computer or so. You never know.
TRUTH always has a way of revealing itself.....very sad that Stephany was brutalized in order for the TRUTH to come out.
His "confession" is self-serving, he is hoping to get a sentence reduction....BUT I hear the Peruvian prison is BRUTAL.... 5 years would seem like LIFE....
This COWARD will NEVER make it there.... He will now get to experience what a VICTIM feels like...
Prayers for all of the families involved..
I bet there are other victims of his rage out there (unknowns, not popular).
