Peyton Junior

x
For a long time, I was the man in your life

when riding bikes
or out on hikes
or pitching strikes

Discovering the wonder of a pocket knife

I taught you how to throw that long pass

to block a kick
throw punches quick
do magic tricks

And even just how to mow the grass

Remember that hike up House Mountain?

we didn't stop
until the drop
the very top

It took us hours, but who was countin'?

You play my drums whenever you are here

I gotta say
you always play
better each day

Imagine where you'll be Senior year?

In a couple years, you'll be in Middle School

soon understand
the task at hand
to be a man

Is not always having to prove you're cool
